Long sleeve fast bowling by someone look like anderson face not body/four card after boundary reminded me 2013 Mike Fegan's cricket..Looks downgrade of cricket 19..Thank god for pre order cancellation sony. That crowd animation sucks.
we came close to a perfect game in 2019 now gone PS3 era graphics on PS5 and worst bowling animations. That bowling action with long sleeves from Anderson reminds me of 2013 Mike Fegan's cricket bowling action..did Big Ant recruit Mike Fegan for this development?
I was the one to preorder one of the first PS5 user and now I will wait. This is what happens when you start development of game in April(Mike merren said) and release in November.
He meant April 2020.

Initial impressions, really like the camera once the ball has been hit, scoreboard overlay is very nice. Direct slo mo looks good as. Stuart Broad's action is...interesting. I know it's not had the day1 patch applied but promising signs.
Just watched your video mate, nice. Some of the comments though lol. Bit of a hot take: I can guarantee you people who say "graphics bad" will use that as a justification to get the game "elsewhere."

Edit: These are probably the same people that whinge "Why are specs high? My 9500 GT from 2008 should be enough."

he said after releasing last patch for Tennis world tour which is April 2021..I own the game.
To be frank and keep ego aside ,These bowling animations are joke.you just see Ashes cricket 2013 now and you realize similaries with Cricket 22 bowling animations .Cricket 19 was way ahead in animations.I can not comment on gameplay watching a 50 minute video but graphics are downgrade.

I am sure that the gameplay is not from PS5. The reason i say it is because the graphics, for example the structure of the stumps or the sharpness was as similar as the one it was in PS4 nets version. Even for nets in PS5, it was more polished. I don't think it will be a problem when the game comes out.

The pain point WITH IGN is that, they tend to just play the game as is. They have not used spinners in all of the 10 overs they played, not an unorthodox shot, didn't change the field, or do a challenging gameplay. This is what someone would look for in a cricket game and that's missed.

But, this is a good leap from BAS. Game looks shiny, smooth and simple. Replay looks very nice. Fielding is better (yes, for sure...as far as from the video). Six distance is ticking right but still some 103mts display when it just flew over crossing the edge of the boundry. Shots looks nice and I was wrong to day it was more of C19. They upgraded the shots.

I believe the graphics element is something they can fix if not fixed with day 1 patch but if this is how the game would look like on next gen consoles, they need to wake up.

I thought they mentioned at the start that it was ps5, due to the quicker loading times they mentioned?

it is on next gen..Look at lighting...Big ant games on old gen lags a little..it is smooth and with that lighting I can say it is on next gen.

Few things I noticed from the IGN gameplay. (mind you there is a day patch 1 yet to come)
  • Big mistake by BA to make people play and review the game on easy mode who had no idea what there were doing half the time.
  • Career mode looks exciting and will be more immersive than C19.
  • Fielding looks way better than C19, only can confirm after playing against AI.
  • Keeper and Slips reflexes still not great as couple of balls which were edged was not at all attempted by Keeper or Slips.
  • Six length calculation looks more real compared with C19 now.
  • The Graphics and Scenery looks more fluid than c19. I don't know how it will look in my PS4. (more of a game play guy than graphics)
  • When chasing balls hit to boundary I think fielders is taking an extra 1/10th of a second to run in the same direction (hope its just my bad judgement)
  • The LBW which was reviewed, I thought it was a no-ball as the bowler foot was not behind the line (correct me if I am wrong)
  • New added shots and bowling actions does look good, but Broad, Anderson and all bowling with long sleeves does look off.
I am still going to pre-order the game when its available, the game looks better than c19 but not sure all the issues from previous iterations are addressed. Not to mention that the AI mentality and awareness is not seen till this point.

Pretty spot on summary there. My concern is future patches. I hope they've found a way to patch the game more seamlessly. Cricket 19, especially, every time they patched the game, they inadvertently broke twelve other things.

you are the first guy to say , Career mode is boring with repeatitive cut scenes and would have been better without them rather manually skipping them.I do not think you can not judge a game(mechanics like six length, fielding unless you play longer) which which you did not play..only thing everyone can comment is bowling animations and graphics. This is surely on next gen with that lighting..your PS4 would have different thing with some laggy elements without lighting like Tennis world tour ps4 version.

Oh boy... I just skipped to the time they started playing the game. If that's on the PS5, then they got to figure something out. One of the main upgrade for the games on next gen consoles is graphical elements and frame rates. I don't mind a game with a better game play but one must be kind enough to know that the next gen consoles can handle graphics with a lot of load on it as well. Again I'm not saying it's bad but it could be better.

I was proven wrong with the nets, where it looked not so good in a video but was so nice while I actually played it myself and I'm happy to be proven wrong again! Ignoring this only issue, I guess BAS has done a very nice job with lots of difficulty.

Personally I don't like this clean white uniform and the model just like DBC 17.

I've payed Thousands of hours of career mode on C19. in C19 all you do is play, play and play without connecting you to anything. when there are added elements it may not be so monotonous. Again its just my perspective, you are free to be as negative as you are about everything else about the game.

Any Fyi, I said 'career mode looks exciting' dint say 'that it is exciting'. Will have to play with the day 1 patch and see how good the additions are. For starters I like added elements in career mode. Mike also told in his interview that they have tried their best to create career mode elements in a way that it is not repetitive. So give a chance to the game to express once its released and then we can bi*ch about the negatives together.

As Waste isn't here at the moment, I'll just chime in, lets keep it civil people. Everyone can have an opinion but lets not get into the habit of getting snippy and snappy with each other. We saw two members get banned the other day for this.
