I've never been sure how to view some of these knocks Hayden played for Queensland againts strong touring bowling attacks in the 90s. Especially the intensity of the touring side. But damn Akhtar looked to have been really charging in like a test match here early on.

Interesting to see that they used to have coverage of tour matches on TV in AUS back in the 90s. They only started doing that here in England last summer.

But if my memory is correct. I think in a ODI @ Perth in 2004/05, Afridi hit Symonds on the roof as well. Got to check back though...

Yeah tour matches were shown here as far back as the early 80's, but when pay tv started in 1995 we got a lot more of them, heaps, virtually every season. Got some amazing Brett Lee stuff when he was 17, fast as lightning.

Symonds big six was at the other end of the ground, by 2004 they had a smaller roof at that end of the ground which Symonds cleared easy, same with Gilly vs India at Perth in 2004.

Actually Papa Smurf that is exactly the kind of video I cannot stand. I just want to watch normal cricket and listen to the commentary like Robs videos. Not listen to low brow techno music and see 100s of clips put together so quickly that I am having seizures by the end of the video

Yeah I know, I normally hate those videos as well, but this one just makes me laugh. It's not supposed to be taken seriously.

Yeah cougar was good, but the quality of some of the vids was awful. Nothing they had was all that rare, mostly stuff from commercially available videos you can still get on ebay etc.

Rob do you by any chance have the Lara 100 from the 1996 WC Quarter Final (vs South Africa) in Karachi. There is only match highlights in horrible quality on youtube.
