Delayed until October?

I hope the news is good news. I am looking forward to this game. What is it with cricket games particulary that does this? Why is there always something that makes you doubt and unfortunate always proves to be true? With Flightsim or Fifa there is real progression. Yes there have been a couple of baddies along the way but genrally these games go from strength to strength. What is it about cricket games that lets this happen? It can't just be about the money thats put into development. there have been many low budget but excellent, excellent games. Come on CR don't let us down, not now.

I know what you're sayin', dutch. By dodging the Ashes Cricket 09 flop, I'm just about spent. There's not a lot of hope going around right now, but there's a glimmer of it with CR. Can they breathe life into a body that fell through the ice and was starved of oxygen?

I don't know what the deal is with cricket games, and why they've been so sorely lacking in the gameplay department. They are like the red-headed stepchild of sports gaming :(

Right, so if the above information is correct, it's time to chill out and do other things for a while. 30th of October is more than 7 weeks away.

The delayed release gives them a chance to make some final tweaks. I'll be checking the game change logs on their website regularly to see what adjustments they will make. Publicly displayed beta change logs - who woulda thought a company would make themselves so transparent, honest and accountable to the consumer, eh Codemasters? :sarcasm

R u sure Ashes cricket is a flop? I mean commercially, i.e.

No it's not a flop commercially. The flop is in the quality of the game, despite the so-called 'potential' some claim it has. AC09 is our loss, not theirs.

wow that is dirt cheap!, just might have to buy it then

I'm thinking that this game could be good value for money. Now that I know there are actually offline tournaments, I'm feeling better about it.

i will be pre-ordering with Mambo so that i can get free delivery to canada

Yep, sign me up for this oe too. for that kind of money it is worth giving it a good go: crikey a couple of pizzas and a coke costs about that much. :)

Yeah, 30 Australian dollars here is about that too.

If the online multiplayer is good, this game could be the gift that keeps on giving :)

This is based on speculation and a few hints provided by Mindstorm:

I think Mindstorm will be taking care of the release in Pakistan probably through one of the dvd distributors there like Sadaf etc.

I am pretty certain that Mindstorm will be able to better use their distribution contacts in Pakistan than Mamba, and I presume that this will drive all the profit to them directly.
