Demo Challenges

although its very difficult to hit a six, i realise that players with greater skill levels like ponting can do it quite easily. so i just lose a wicket up early and let ponting in early so he can hammer the bowlers. the perfec spot in his timing bar is greater compared to others and its much easie. iver played the demo like 40 times and am able to score 40 in 3 overs consistently.

but i find the bowling hard. i cant understand how u can restrict them to 5. one time i got hammered for 50 runs.

over the wicket (default), fullish, outside offstump

batting- 68/3 - flintoff makes 54

Lol yeah cause the AI doesn't know how to play the 3 over game.
There were times it had me bowled for under 30.
Times where it bowls all short and i make 50+. You'll need to play a proper T20 or ODI to understand.

You have to play really long to learn the AI's bowling technique. They don't mix it up usually. It's either all full length or all bouncers. Then they play with the length, cause if your pulling or hooking they'll make it a bit less short and you try the pull/hook and it hits you on the shoulder or head. That lowers your confidence a lot. I remember one time i was batting with cook on 12, he took 4 hits on the head and he was batting like he couldn't even see the ball.

lets assume the AI is bowling as per the 1st day of a test match....
its still pretty disappointing !!!

and i've read many members talking abt the AI bowling too full or too short...
thats not too good either.....

LOL !! 4 hits on head ?? he would've been on a stretcher now !! :p

So much for the game being harder to score lots of runs, you guys seem to be getting lots of runs in only 3 overs on hard, dissapointing to say the least.

Bowling: 9/0 (3 were nb)
Batting : Still to come

Its really good to look at the map of balls left, attacked and defended, you can see the the boundary ones are a little closer to off stump than others

New highest score 54/1 on hard as England, again.

I think the 3/68 isn't too unrealistic. Sure, in real life you can slog the crap out of the ball early on, if you're willing to lose three wickets in the first 18 balls.

3/68 is a ████ score in a Test if you think about it, so it doesn't make it any easier.

well that depends......am presuming they mostly played ground shots as
hitting sixes seems extremely hard !!!

68 runs in 18 balls with most of them as ground shots is hardly realistic !!

but if there were lot of sixes, then what your saying is right !

I know people are getting worried by these high scores and therefore thinking the game play is easy and not good, but it is. The game play on Cricket 07, in my opinion, was very good however I still got scores of 100 in 8 - 10 overs on the highest difficulty but would go on to score 300-400 all out - wich is a realistic score. It's all about getting used to the gameplay and once you've got used to it there's no reason why you shouldn't be scoring at a good rate. If you think about it, once you have mastered the gameplay then it would be impossible not to score at a good rate. And yes I have scored 54 in 3 overs but my average is about 30-35? So don't judge the gameplay on the scores. And also, I have played the demo a good 15 - 20 times now and have only hit about two 6's. Another thing is that in the demo you are only facing pace bowlers and therefore it's easier to get used to the constant speed. Another thing is that this is a demo that, aswell as being directed to people like us, is directed to none-cricket enthusiasts who appreciate the big-hitting side of cricket therefore the demo MAY have been made slightly easier for this reason. So yeah, basicaly don't judge it on the score - it, in my opinion, is a very good game.

Best bowling would be like 0/35 and batting would be like 3/40.

Defending more would make the game much easier though.

Scores posted are good if it is last 3 overs of an odi or t20.
It shows if we attack every delivery we are able to score runs at the cost of wicket. So scoring at this rate, probably the player not gonna play the whole 20 or 50 overs and they will end up in total of 150-160 allout in 10-12 overs. So I hope at the end the scores will be realistic.
