From what I have heard, batting is way too easy in BLIC. So I wouldnt say it has the best gameplay.
Its true that the pacing files for the CPU in this C2005 really needs to be worked upon.
However BLIC does have an edge over C2005 as the former has more number of stadiums. I think it is very disappointing to have just one stadium in West Indies, India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. And just two in South Africa.
C2005's graphics are lightyears ahead of BLIC, and also gives the extra option of county cricket also.
Now coming to the gameplay. The AI in batting and fielding is poor, but it is better than C2004, as the CPU doesnt throw away its wickets as easily. The CPU does make an attempt to post scores of 300+ which was a rare occurence with the original hard settings of C2004(before all the AI patches were released). Also player animations and movements in C2005 is pretty awesome which make most of the shots look neat. And all EA need to know to make this good game, awesome is release a patch and fix atleast the major bugs. But unfortunately, history tells, there isnt a good chance of this happening. But if you go by history, you wouldnt have expected a demo to be released, but it did. So just keep your fingers crossed.
In BLIC I hear, batting is easy. Now this is definately not good news, but maybe in Test/World Class modes it will be. One cannot comment on the gameplay just as yet.
In the end, if I had to choose between the games, right now I would go for C2005 without any second thought as I am enjoying playing it. But this might change, when BLIC is released at the end of this month.
