This is almost like a cheat,I once had Cork retiring for me but since I didnt make good buys for the forthcoming season,I just End tasked the game,and when I came back I saw that Cork hasnt retired at all for next season,seems to be a random thing.

That's because the game only saves when you exit normally.

ofcourse Im aware of it,what I meant was that players retiring is just random and doesnt depend at all on the no. of injuries he had in the season and/or performance and/or opportunities to play which should actually be the deciding factor(s) for retirement.

When players "disappear" from international team they actually retire. I had a problem were shane warne disappeared from my hampshire roster without retiring.

If a player is not signed by anyone at the end of the season he goes away.
its true ive tested prity gay but they can come back in future seasons

It was odd last week (Friday iirc) we had a powercut whilst I was selecting the team for my second game of my stint (if you will) I'd just finished a CC game. The powercut happened, I put the CD back in and it has me going back into the game after the CC game despite not having saved it. Some sort of autosave after each match? It's happened before when the game has crashed. One of those MCF bugs or something.

you only get notified of retirements if they play for your county. otherwise, they just disappear.
and some retire young. Paul Collingwood retired at 33.

Kallis retired before the World Cup for me. Max you can try JP Duminy he did well for me and in the test H Amla.

I would think that Pollock would retire before Kallis being about three years younger than him....

I still have pollock at 2010 kallis, boje, adams retired...

try amla to open for tests , very slow but works...

We had a powercut, don't ask when, probaly last wednesday or something and teh exact same thing happened to me and i got really annoyed because it saved my bad run of 5 match losing streak:

I was wrong actually. It wasn't a powercut so to speak, the stupid electricity board didn't change the power over very quickly. The whole south side of the road (and south from my road to the beach) was in darkness but the north side was light. It was handy, I hate losing games to powercuts.

a few seasons ago i was singning players for Lancashire and used up all my budget and was very happy with my squad for the forthcomeing season, as allways i deceided to check who was signed by the other countys insted of just ending the signing section, when it got to the last round, the 10 round or whatever, IAN BELL was availble to sign!!!!!! he was only 30 but hadnt played test for a year due to england having great players availble to them, i dropped my physio, coaching and youth development money right down in order to sign him, but as it was the last round of signings only 'finish' was availble, so i couldnt actualy sign him, when i started the season, as he hadnt got a team he had retired! was gutted, to make it worse, i got 3 middle order batsman injured witrh england and he would of been in the test side!!!!!

I had Collingwood disappear after 1 season with England. :/

Spent 10 minutes looking for him, them gave up. There should be a search feature in ICC 2007..

they just shouldnt disappear but infact be unavailable to be selected... maybe they can have coaching attributes afterwards so we can choose coaches to sign like on FM
