Does anyone remember the good old days?

Does anyone remember the good old days when you could go to see a test match without the plethora of ads and commercialism that plagues every game under the sun in these cynical times of media manipulation? Is anyone else sick to death of being barraged with ads?

What if we could return to a simpler time? What if we could play cricket in a fantasy 21st century where commercial ads still hadn't intruded into every facet of our lives? What if we could play a simulation of cricket in that world?

This is a challenge to patch-makers everywhere: can anyone make a patch that I can install on my computer to get rid of all the ads in the game, replacing them with the natural unsullied background images - bats, stumps, fences, TV screens, natural green grass? I just want to see cricket. I don't want to see ads for banks, building societies, computer game manufacturers, fast food restaurants, or any of the other junk that gets in the way of the cricket.

Please help!

Alternatively, what about turning Cricket 2004 into Cricket 1984 (the George Orwell version)? A vid screen that featured a benevolent smiling Big Brother; ads with messages like 'War is Peace', 'Report Thoughtcrime', and 'Trust Your Government'?

Let's get creative!

We can get rid of the ads easily enough...
You can do few things yourself:
Download the logoless bat from the website; put it in the bats folder and copy and rename it to cover all the bats.
Config options; pitch detail off will lose you the pitch ads
Blank stumps would be easy enough, I'll try and whip some up. You can do it yourself if you have Photoshop.

Pitch-Ad removal

Ensure that the transparant check-box is checked while importing in the Graphics importer. :up

Then why buy cric 2004 you could hav done withsomething like ian bothams or jonty rhodes
