Enjoying it so far.
Started a test as England v Zimbabwe (selected random opponent) who won the toss and decided to bowl first, I started well with the first wicket going down at 47 but then collapsed to 142 all out, the 2nd wicket was given caught behind, I'd kind of got myself in a mess trying to play a shot so didn't really know what had happened but on the replay it looked like I'd missed the ball so wish I'd reviewed it now, also managed to get a LBW decision overturned where I'd moved across the crease quite a bit, was nowhere near hitting the ball but was 95% certain it was going down leg side, during the review it showed a hotspot replay 4 times even though it was 100% clear I was nowhere near the ball then just cut to the umpire overturning his decision without showing ball tracking which was the only thing that really mattered in this case, so far that's been the only thing that's disappointed me, just a bit immersion breaking.
Struggled at first with bowling then got the breakthrough with Zimbabwe on 37, a nice edge caught in the slips, 2nd wicket was lbw with them on 51 then I started struggling again and looked like the game was going to get away from me before making it 91-3 (I'm English and it's always been runs - wickets for me so deal with it ) was a bit of a lucky wicket, a poor ball that was slightly wide of leg hit the batsman on the inside of his thigh before hitting the stumps.
I'm not sure if it's finally clicked with me yet or if it's down to the middle order not being great, but I've now got them 139-7 and have just bowled a double wicket maiden so am into the tail (their number 4 is still there though on 43).
The pacing seems good (apart from the number of wickets that have gone down, still about 2 hours left on day one) this is my first match so I've not played any limited over games, England got their 142 from 35.5 overs and Zimbabwe are currently going at 4.02 an over which I'm happy with, can be a bit immersion breaking when teams are going at 10+ an over in test matches.
I've not had chance to sort any teams out yet as I couldn't be bothered waiting for the update to download so set it going in the background while I was playing so that'll be the next thing I do once this test is over.
