A Day before yesterday, Long Awaited 9 Years Dreams Came True for one man. Chelsea's name engraved on UEFA Champions League Trophy. This year, when we were cruising to our downfall, suddenly somehow managed to stay afloat. Finishing at no 6 position in EPL was just as bad to fail to qualify for next year Champions League. We were already broken after the first leg match against Napoli. Got bombarded totally. Our manager got sacked in midway, everything was going against us. It was blessing in disguise, when we were blessed with our interim manager Roberto Di Matteo . He gave life to our team and things started to improve in no matter. However, even after securing winnings in Premiere League, things were not easy as the title were out of our hands, we can barely fight to represent ourselves for next year's Champions League. Every week was passing and chances were getting thin. Our only hope is to win the Champions League in order to stay alive. It was on 14th March, that we decided, we have nothing more to loose, all we can do is go out with all guns blazing. Our fighting spirit kept us alive to proceed to the next round. We played against Benfica and met with Spanish Overrated giants Barcelona. Everyone writed us off, big Pundits gave their judgements. " We will get teared apart " " Our Journey ends here" blah blah ........ We chelsea fans were also tensed, as we know Braca is capable of doing anything. It was again our Fighting spirit and our Vengeance in mind. We were victims during 2009 Semi final, and it was this Barcelona against whom we played but thanks to mind boggling referees, that we got crashed out, we used our Vengeance as a part of our gameplay, which helped us to kick them out of Race. We were victorious but as they say "Victory requires sacrifices". We had to sacrificed our 4 top notch players, who cannot take part into the final and we were quite depressed. But our victory over Barcelona has overshadowed our tensions and depressions. We managed to reached final after 2008 (Moscow) where we lost against Manchester United in Penalty Shootout out. After reaching final, we knew ....... We managed ourselves in the final and now we cannot loose it from here. We will be in facing Bayern Munich at their own dispersal. There was only 1 similarity with them, we will be missing our key players and they will be also missing their 3 key players. And their key players are all part of the defense, and if we can exploit the defense we can steal the show. However when the match started, it was Bayern, who was controlling the ball most of the time. I was thinking, if we cannot took advantage of the defense, we cannot win for sure. It was luck that was with us, Bayern wasted many opportunities. We were lucky, that our luck was with us but i was having a feeling the luck will run out of his fuel soon. And at 83rd minute, Bayern took the lead 1-0. With 7 minutes to go, it will require more than hard work to equalised it. Bayern fans has already started celebrating just like Manu Fans did. No one thought or imagined, that their celebration can get ruined. Then again the luck factor came to play, and Wembley king Didlier Drogba managed to equalised at 88th min. We were given a new life. After 90 mins. The game stalled to 1-1. Time for the extra time, Didlier Drogba the hero were on the verge of becoming Tragic Villain when he awarded a penalty to Bayern Munich by causing silly foul on Ribery. I was like, Drogyyyyy ........ Why ?? PENALTY !! ?? Damn..... Robben took his position and i started praying, Cech .... save it. CMON !! But luck everytime does not favour you. But it again did. Cech guess the right side and he saved the penalty. We Chelsea fans can again start breathing Bayern again continued to waste opportunities and luck continued to shower on us. End of extra time ....... "ITS TIME FOR PENALTY SHOOT OUT" We have been here before, on 2008 (Moscow) But that time, destiny had something else planned for us. This time We have write history not overwirte 2008. Bayern scored their first penalty while we missed. I was like, Luck chunked out at this moment ?? When we needed most. Penalties continued, i was hoping, somehow if we can also save 1 penalty. We needed to save one and Penalty from Olic got saved i was like, Luck is still there and this luck can make us winners. Then Schweinsteiger hits the post and left me overjoyed and i was hopeful, we can take the advantage now, we got to take. Today is our day. And Drogba took it, Neur guessed the wrong side and ball slowly rolled down to the corner and Bayern slipped slipped and flipped. THATS IT !! WE HAVE DONE IT !! WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS !! I was crying that time, and that time i realised why people do cry after winning something that matters so much. Earlier i used to find this all show off but yesterday when i was crying i finally understand the reason, emotion that was flowing with me. If i get questioned, Did we played a winning match ?? I will say NO. We didn't. It was our luck that made us Champions. This Victory was so important to us and very special for one man, who gives everything to the club, none other than our owner Roman Abramovich. He is such a person, who has never thought Chelsea as his part of business, he never think, its an investment he is doing. He has always loved Chelsea and did everything to make us an Elite Club. He is the person who deserved that Trophy more than anyone. Without him, We will Perish.

Yesterday, a prime example was set. No matter how hard work you do, but you also need luck. Luck is also a very important factor in every aspects.

Now, we are the Champions, We managed to acquire two trophies this season. And now its time to celebrate and start Russian Re-Evolution ............. WHICH IS HAPPENING FOR SURE !! GO CHELSEA !! GO BLUES !!

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS !!

Cheers

Funny how you support the winners of the Champions League, Serie A and La Liga. Coincidence, I suppose?

I see WC has changed from Barca to RM in his fav teams.

You don't think there's a connection, do you? I mean, I know Real Madrid won the league this season but surely that's not the reason he jumped ship.

Surprised to see he still supports the Azzuris though. But yeah, that's glory hunting at it's best. I used to have a friend who supported the Traditional Big 4 in England, Spain and Italy lol

Now, that's what you call golden plated glory hunting!

So, are the Azzurri (no S on the end FYI - it basically means 'The Blues'; sounds crap in English, doesn't it? :p ) your team, or are you torn when England and Italy play? I'm half Italian myself - but it's always England when the two are playing. :)

Hehe I don't support England mate. Always been a fan of Italy, ever since I started following football back in 2002. So yeah, the Azzuri are my team.

Oh and good to know that you're half Italian, atleast we have another Italian supporter (I take it you support them after England? :)) on board here. :)

Yeh, I found Barca is such an annoying club. Messi, who is a big diver. I used to hate Ronaldo, but now i really respect him. So, I have changed it.

I am not a glory hunting, otherwsie i would have turned to Man Urinated ages ago. I was a Juve fan and stiil i am. I hope, next season, its Juve vs Cheslea. And Juve take it with them.

Shravi, its really disappointing, that whom you support had failed to achieve anything. LOl ..........

Supporting Azzuri is surprising ?? :rolleyes

I support Italy, since you used to wear diapers.

I'll give vCash to whoever correctly guesses WC's next team on the Glory Hunter merry go round.

Place your bets, folks!

(Current teams: Italy, Juventus, Chelsea and Real Madrid)

Germany (provided they win the Euros)

Reason: "Yeh, I found Italy is such an annoying team. Balotelli, who is a big prankster. I used to hate Mario Gomez, but now i really respect him. So, I have changed it." - WC

Yep - Italy are my second team - because I'm half Italian, not because I need a 'back up'.

Which is what makes him a genuine glory hunter - you choose a club, one club, and you stick with them whatever happens.
