Hello. On Friday, February 4, 2005, EA Sports UEFA Champions League 2004-2005 will be released. I have the demonstration on my Personal Computer and find the game both fun and exciting with EA Sports adding a new sense of realism to Football video games. It is the first ever mission-based Football video game, with a multi-million pound owner taking over at your chosen club and telling you to do certain things, some more difficult than others. I have created this new Thread for fans to discuss the game, and for people who have not played or heard of it, to whet their appetite. Thank-You.

Yeah I know I'm getting it today in fact. The Champions League is my all-time favourite comp and this game will rule! Can't wait to steer Chelsea to champions league glory! :)

Chelsea will most probably win it in real life. I've got the demo for PC and will get the game for PS2. I find EA do well with their footy games and it won't need patching until FIFA 2006.

FULL REVIEW: UEFA CHAMPS LEAGUE 04-05

I got the game on the day of release for Playstation 2! It's really good. EA Sports have finally got rid of commentating duo John Motson & Ally McCoist and replaced them with Clive Tyldsley & Andy Gray. There's a new Widescreen format, with the picture squeezed between two black boxes. I'm currently taking Norwich City through the "The Season" mode and am past Chapter 20. Some parts are rather unrealistic though as I bought Thierry Henry for 15.7 million pounds. I also bought Jap Stam, A. Lupoli, A. Nott, Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Patrick Vieira! I beat every team I've played. (You don't just play the UEFA Champions League, you also play the FA Premier League or whichever League your chosen Club is in) This is a massive improvement over FIFA 2005, even graphic wise. An 8/10 in my opinion. Some people will find it frustrating that there is no Radar in the game. A great game. I have only played the Demo for PC CD-ROM. Any questions or queries about the game, I will be more than happy to answer them.

Lol imagine Norwich signing Vieira and co. :rtfl

One Question:In the Champions League, are the groups the ones they are in real life or are they randomly generated?

Randomly Generated. Even the Prem fixtures are generated.

I'll now give you my last results with City:

Premiership
MANCHESTER UNITED 3 3 NORWICH CITY

Champions League group stage
AJAX 2 2 NORWICH CITY

Now I'm playing C Palace and the owner wants me to get 20 Corners!

Oh yeah, you can create your own tournament, play a home and away match, friendly, play now, even the Champions League without the missions so you just play the matches.

Game Update

When I was playing the game with Norwich City Ruud Van Nistelrooy got badly injured and on his return the owner told me to "Play him for no more than 30 minutes, but score a goal with him." This was tricky. I didn't manage to score with him but took him off after 30 miniutes. We're now into the Champions League Quarter-Finals and everybody on EA Sports Talk Radio are calling in to praise my team.

How many League are there in The Champions League also is there Ukranian Club Dynamo Keive and Russion Club

Well there is a 'Rest Of World' section basically showing the best of the rest teams. I don't know if that's in the game. I'll be able to check tonight, but I have to get ready for school now.
