I'm doing an Ashes tour in Australia an dhave had this happen 2 or 3 times now. Fast bowler gets an edge through to the keeper, commentator says "edge", the catching mini-game takes place and I catch the ball, appeal and given not out!?
So, I go to DRS despite the bowler and wicket keeper both having very small confidence in it being out. The DRS shows no edge on the hotspot, but there is one, you can see the ball deviate!!?? The not out decision remains.
When I look at the replay, you can see the edge, the ball spins in the opposite direction. I thought that maybe it didn't carry, but it did, and even if it didn't the edge should have shown up on the hotspot.
Really odd, has anyone else had this happen?
