I've been trying to replace the names on BLC. I want to be able to use my own voice to replace the names in the commentary that are now not needed. i.e. replace Headley with Hoggard. I've tried using the windows98 sound recorder, but when I play the game the sound comes out as a horrible skretch!!!

Any ideas on how I can avoid the skretch.??

My guess is that you've not saved the files in the same format as that used in the game - I experienced the same problem.

I saved them in .wav 16 bit format the same as the default sounds.

Strange that, I did that at first and had the same problem, but sorted it by saving it in the same format the game uses.

Use goldwave!

save the file in lowercase.Jonathan will stop barking

I think he means recording his own sounds, not chopping up bits on the game - I tried it, and it doesn't come out too bad at times if the file is saved in the correct format.

You can record your voice in sound recorder, and save the file using sound recorder, then open it with goldwave and save it using goldwave in the correct format. This is guaranteed to work.
