on some players where it says how longs left on their contract it also says England Contracted and can u get players in your own team with these contracts

No, you cannot sign England contract players until they retire from International cricket or are dropped.

Your own players can however get an England contract. It means you no longer pay their wages, but comes with the price of only getting them for half the season. Since you no longer pay for them you can however use the money to sign backup players to fill in when they are absent.

do the top players who play for england get these contracts cos ally cook's got 1 and he's englands best player on mine.

yep anyone who plays for england reguarly gets an ecb contract, i think??

does that mean that if a player is announced and he gets injured does he still get paid by the ecb

In this game I think it's 16. In later years I find the system goes a little bit strange. In that I've had the odd player who barely plays for my County team getting England contracted just because his 2nd team bowling average is fairly low.

Also had my main wicket keeper lose his contract despite playing every game bar the final test of the calendar year where I gave a young chap a game for experience.

Lucky you.

Playing as Derbyshire, i'm in 2011 (i play all games out) and i've got seven players who play for England each year, three playing all tests and odi's, and another two playing every ODI.

None are england contracted, yet there are players on england contract who haven't played internationals for almost two years!

Also, there are two players in my team that are only back-ups for my county, who have played for england (in ODI's anyway). Yeah they are talented (2nd team 55, and 50 very aggressive), but only average 15 at FC, and 20-odd in OD. One made his test (and ODI) debut before his FC debut!

(Pretty sure he's going to be a star. He's a permanent fixture in Test (#6) and ODI (open). As i said, only 50 2nd team, but very aggressive and averages 40 at test and odi level at just 20. He also bowls (for me, not england), averaging 32 in FC, and 16! in OD's.

He's on a 82,000 contract, in his last year (signed the year he made his debut). Hate to think what he will want now.

Once I had Pieterson dropped, and when I reloaded (without saving) he was still on so sometimes they make stupid random changes.
