Why would you bat Gilchrist infront of Watson? Watson looks a good steady batsman who'll look to build an innings while Gilchrist is at the risk where he could throw his wicket away at any given time.

Also, I hope either Tait or Johnson get the call over Clark. But somehow I see Clark getting the call anyway...

because Watson will have to bowl 15-20 overs

well whichever order they bat gilly and watson, it might be moot after Haydo, langer, ponting, martyn and hussey have been at the crease.

i think the side id also love to see play would be

Hayden
Langer
Ponting
Martyn
Hussey
Watson
Gilchrist
Lee
Warne
Tait
McGrath

That doesn't mean anything if Watson is batting at number 6. By the time he has to come in and bat he would have already had atleast half a days rest.

Come On on that pitch and with the bowling line up that west indies have you cannot judge him he has to play well in test to convince me i meant if he miss times his pull he will get caught i think english bowlers will use this ploy against watson as he is a compulsive hooker i think.

Jerome Taylor has been bowling excellently as of late and his bowling has brung confidence throughout the West Indies bowling lineup.

It is better to avoid the crisis than sort it out

You mean by bringing Gilchrist in and him trying to whack Australia out of trouble? It was good when he was younger and could do it but age is creeping up on him. His batting seems to be the only thing ageing in the Australian team if anything.

I apologise if things similar to this have been said, but the thread is 37 pages long, I'm not going back through it.

RE: the crowd comments to Monty. Is it really racism? The ECB has cracked the absolute shits about this, yet last summer their fans were dressed up in convict outfits, abusing our players constantly. If we wore a turban and abused Monty, we'd be condemned from everywhere, particularly Graeme "No-one asked but here's my opinion anyway" Smith. What I fail to see is a difference between these two incidents. I do however see hypocrisy.

Hoggard has gone well today taking 3 SA wickets. Poor Lehmann got runout on 99 :( Borgas is doing a fine job however.

Dizzy is playing!!! Awesome!

Now he has his chance for revenge. To prove he can still tear international sides to pieces. Heres hoping. He may get a few with the bat yet ;)

Hes already in :) South Australia have basically fallen apart, oh well most of us are looking forward to the bowling in particular Tait and Dizzy.

It's strange, a lot of single figure scores. Tait will be interesting also, definatly. Even Cullen to an extent.

May as well chuck in Cullen Bailey too :) Actually interesting looking at SA team, they look like they will be trying to spin England out with only 2 pace bowlers.

Cook dropped by Lehmann of bowling of Tait, geez this boy is on fire! Should have been 2 wickets in defence of Lehmann it was a low tough one.

This is a little mean, but I wouldn;t mind if Watson is ruled out to up the chances of seeing Tait. The poor guy keeps having bad luck with injury though.

Good start for him. To get a wicket and almost 2 in such a small period is impressive.

Yeah, if his hamstring is bad, I couldn't see him bowling. In that case they would be better brining in Clarke (or Symonds I guess) and keeping Watson for later on.

Actually without Watson theres probably less chance of Tait playing. Too risky going for Tait and Lee as if both have a shocker there goes the first Ashes test match.
I'm guessing Clarke will be picked but Jaques must be pushing him.
