Thought I'd get the ball rolling on this. Didn't see a thread for it, so apologies if I missed it.

Tour Fixtures

Right, five 50 Over games between the Lions and Bangladesh A, followed by a couple of T20s. Should be a good tour to see who's next in line for the England One Day side in particular.

First Warmup match out of the way, with the Lions winning by a few wickets. Briggs and Brooks with the wickets, with a team effort to get them home with the bat, including a not out for Buttler from the number 6 position.

sad there's no FC games. although somewhat rich of me to hope england's board would do more for cricket in bangladesh than bangladesh's own board.

they need to play more FC cricket, and learning how to win, playing A teams would be a damn good start.

Nathan Buck's a dreadful bowler from what I've seen in county cricket. Hope he comes good through this tour.

This tour is a great chance for Borthwick to show he can be England's second choice spinner. Monty is one dimensional and the selectors have never seemed too keen on Rashid, so im hoping he can get some wickets and get a chance with the senior squad.
Im also looking forward to seeing how Stuart Meaker does in difficult conditions

You only have to watch Rashid bowl to realise he's not good enough as a bowler.

I think his main problem is he hasn't developed.
He looked like he could become a quality player when he was 19/20, but he hasn't gotten any better since he first came into the Yorkshire team

Precisely. His bowling has 100% stagnated. Now, whether that has anything to do with having played a lot of limited overs county cricket, I could only speculate ;)

Buttler in the runs again! Definitely the best candidate for England's #6 slot ATM.

No hales in the team?
He didn't play in the warm up either, would of thought he would of been one of the first on then team sheet

Hales should be in above Root. That guy is so over-rated in the One Day game for me.

Buttler getting 45 was good, just a shame he got stranded with the tail really. Be interesting to see if he moves up the order if he keeps on scoring runs.

I love Buck's figures too. 2 Overs, 2 maidens, 2 wickets. You think Taylor turned to him a bit too late in the proceedings? :D

Big game in the series for the lions tonight/today, going two down would obviously be a terrible start and would likely knock their confidance in competing in sub continent conditions.
I'd like to see Hales opening, and maybe Kerrigan getting a chance soon, he can be destructive on any wicket an I think he could really do a job for the lions on a dusty pitch, it's just a shame his batting is so poor.

Also, the scheduling of the first T20 has changed and it's moved back 24 hours, no idea why this is.

More of a team effort today with bat and ball. Meaker getting plenty of wickets, be interesting to find out if he's bowling really well, or is simply too quick for the younger Bangladeshis.

Buttler seeing England home alongside Bairstow could be a snapshot of the future ODI team. Taylor does seem to be struggling though. Hales and/or Maynard probably deserve a go if the likes of Root and Taylor aren't performing. This tour does seem to show our lack of genuine all-rounders though, with Borthwick batting at 7.

And Taylor fails again as the Lions crumble to a 75 run defeat.

Hales on debut(?) shines with a quickfire 39, Briggs continues his impressive run of form with the ball, Meaker and Borthwick impress too. Buttler for once fails.

Overall, I can certainly sense the presence of Buttler and Briggs in the upcoming ODI series against Pakistan.

And look what else happened during the game:
The England Lions captain James Taylor was fined Tk 5,000 for tarnishing the spirit of the game in their third one-day match against their Bangladeshi counterparts at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Saturday.

The incident took place when a disappointed James could not hold his temper after being caught and bowled by rival spinner Enamul Haque Junior for 13 runs in the 15th over of the visitors? innings.

The Nottinghamshire-born batsman punched the door of the dressing room and the glass was broken.

The match referee, Roqibul Hasan, later fined him for his unusual behaviour.

?This was against the spirit of the game. I have fined him Tk 5,000 and told him to make up for the damage that he had done before leaving the country,? Roqibul Hasan said.

Bangladesh A team won the match by 75 runs and now leading the five-match one-day series by 2?1. The two sides will also take part in two Twenty20 matches.
