The Twenty20 Cup
England's premier domestic competition makes its debut this year. With teams split into 2 groups. The North group (Red Rose, The Northerners, East Midlands and West Midlands) and the South group (Home Counties, The Suns, The Southern Coast and The Westerlands) each team will play each other home and away plus an extra third game against their respective local rivals (Red Rose vs Northerners, East Midlands vs West Midlands, Home Counties vs The Suns, Southern Coast vs The Westerlands) in MW7 with the home side decided by whoever finished higher in the FPT group table. The team who finishes 4th in each group is eliminated, and the top 3 teams head into the playoffs. Where 1st plays 1st for an an automatic spot in the Grand Final, 3rd plays 3rd for a place in the Semi finals and 2nd plays second to see who they play in the semi finals ( winner plays winner of the 3rd place playoff and loser plays loser of 1st place playoff). The winner of the 2 semi finals play in a qualification match to see who has the right to play in the Grand Final. Tournament kicks off on 11th July with the Grand final at Lord's played on the 2nd of August.
