Sky Sports to get full access to the England team

In a landmark announcement, Sky Sports have been given full access to the England team as it travels to Oceania for this year’s Cricket World Cup. The broadcaster already has exclusive TV broadcasting rights in the UK but they are willing to push out the boat in their content for it. This has led to the decision between Sky and the ECB to create a tv series like one that’s not been seen before in Cricket with camera crew being fly’s on the wall as the team tries to take on the world to be crowned champions in New Zealand and Niue starting off with their pre-match training camp in Canberra, Australia. As well as seeing every bit of drama and tension, the highs and lows and friendships of the squad as a whole as the tournament pressure and stress potentially starts to take their tolls on the players and coaching staff.

Meet The Team
Richard Head
1718266783152.jpeg
Born: 4th November 1977, Nottingham
Role: All star all rounder and captain
Regional Team: East Midlands
Bio: Richard is the glue that holds this England team on and off the field be that with bat, ball or in the field. As well as, leading team bonding exercises and team night outs away from the cauldron of competitive cricket. He never gives up no matter the situation and always believes in giving 100% at every single opportunity no matter what, giving him the impression of a serious deep thinker type of person and making great use of his sport's pyschology degree. However his true love isn’t cricket, that his is wife Matilda and their only daughter 2yr old Bronwen.
Favourite food: Chicken Tikka Masala
Favourite Film: The Godfather
Favourite activity outside of cricket: Reading
Favourite Childhood Memory: Family Holiday to French Riviera when he was 8

Alex Vixen
1718267948879.jpeg

Born: 10th June 1976, Gillingham
Role: First-choice spinner and Vice Captain
Regional Team: The Suns
Bio: Alex is the perfect right-hand man for Richard Head. He's a canny operator with the ball and often works in the shadows and is overlooked in his importance to the team. He's the calming influence in the England dressing room always putting his arm around people's shoulders when things get too much for them. His deep religious beliefs and his wife Jessica are the key pillars and anchors in his life and the things keep him going at the hardest of times. Alex's rise from almost poverty to international cricketer allows him to always know that some things are more important in life.
Favourite Food: Sunday Roast
Favourite Film: Back to the Future
Favourite activity outside of cricket: Golfing
Favourite Childhood Memory: Days out to Eastbourne and eating Ice Cream with his parents on the beach

William George Charles
1718672571271.jpeg
Born: 25th November 1982, Windsor
Role: Star Middle order batter
Regional Team: Aberystwyth Avengers (Wales)
Bio: William (or WGC as the world knows him as) burst on the international stage at the 2001 Euros and his reputation and talent continued to grow exponentially. However, this has resulted in him butting heads with a few people along the way including his ex-team mates at the Home Counties, fellow young super star Wendell Corden-Cox at his new home of Aberystwyth, a decision that brought him to blows with the ECB and England fans as a whole which isn’t helped by his image of being handed to him on a silver platter due to his birth in the upper echelons of British billionaire society. Despite this, his performances always back up his cockiness and that’s for good reason because WGC is the hardest working player you can find, always tinkering with his technique, training regime, diet and every little detail and advantage possible to get the best out of his game.
Favourite Food: Seafood pasta
Favourite Film: The Matrix
Favourite activity outside of cricket: Watching his favorite team Arsenal
Favourite Childhood Memory: Watching Arsenal winning the Old First Division in 1989 on the last day

Zachary Wilson
1718810521942.png

Born: 29th October 1979, Boston
Role: Pace attack leader
Regional team: Red Rose
Bio: He's a shy character off the field and is never the person who seeks the spotlight most of the time and keeps his head down when it comes to media appearances. Despite this, when the going gets tough and his teammates need him the most to perform, he will always put his hand up and stand up when called upon and let his performances speak for themselves. He's formed a strong friendship with Richard Head and William George Charles and the trio have formed the nicknamed the 3 Cricketeers within the English team and these 3 always push each other to keep improving their levels to new heights.
Favourite Food: Pizza
Favourite Film: The Shawshank Redemption
Favourite activity outside of cricket: Music Concerts
Best Childhood Memory: Helping out on his family farm

Peter Mills
1718811575479.png
Born: 18th May 1976, Blackpool
Role: Explosive Opening Batter
Regional Team: Red Rose
Bio: Peter is a newcomer to the England dressing room but he has quickly embeded himself into the team as jokester and prankster among the lads. Always looking to bring a laugh to his teammates faces often at the expense of one of them. His fine form in the domestic game has yet to have been fully proven during the limited games he’s had at the international level, his brutal demolishing of the Scottish attack in October shows his definite talent which England will need during the campaign ahead.
Favourite Film: Top Gun
Favourite Food: Fish and Chips
Favourite activity outside of Cricket: Nights out with mates
Best Childhood Memory: Meeting Stanley Matthews

Mark Crowe
1719528753422.png

Born: 18th March 1978, Fleet
Role: Opening Batter
Regional team: Southern Coast
Bio: A bookish and reserved individual. Mark Crowe is an absolute cricket badger and is the go to man to ask about any stat or any result whatsoever in the sport. Which has come in quite useful for the England selectors who have picked his brain a few times about potential selections and opponents. When he’s not in cricket he’s working part time on his PhD in Data Analytics and even has his own startup business with a few Uni friends about data use in sports.
Favourite Food: Shepherds Pie
Favourite Film: Schindler’s List
Favourite activity outside of cricket: Long walks by the beach
Best Childhood Memory: Graduating top of his class at College
