Drafts English OD Championship - Draft Round 6

Nice work on the presentation , I'll have London Legionaries :)

Cardiff Dragons and Birmingham bears remaining! Will try and get the basic draft list drawn up by tomorrow or Friday evening and then give everyone until Saturday to send in any names they think are missing :).

in the PC Cricsim the numbers are supposed to be ratings right and not averages? Thanks!

PC cricsim isn't the best simulator here, I'd suggest you to use either Syedur Rahman cricket simulator or cricket heroes. And yeah, numbers are supposed to be ratings. :)

Will take a look around mate :). It just looked the most simple for my first attempt originally.

It always does. But then as the matches go on, you'll get a ridiculous amount of hat-tricks, hit wickets and stumpings off genuinely fast bowlers. Cricsim's much more realistic than that for 50-over games, but getting the ratings right is a real pain in the ass.

Flintoff to play in OD championship

The ECB have today released the draft list for the English OD Championship. Perhaps the most surprising inclusion is that of England legend Andrew Flintoff, who after his return in the T20 blast last season has decided he is fit enough for a full length tournament this season.

When asked over his intention to play Flintoff responded by saying ,"Clearly I'll never quite be up to the standard I used to be but my intention is just to aim for it. I've put in some work over the winter and feel after last season I'm ready for the longer format and hope my body holds up for the season".

Other players included on the list include ex England spinner Graeme Swann who has come out of retirement for the tournament, as well as previous England limited overs specialist Dimi Mascarenhas who has decided to return to cricket shortly after retiring to take part in the new look competition.

A variety of international players are positioned in the draft, with all the franchises hoping to get some of the biggest players. The full draft list can be found here :

A reminder that two teams are still available.
If anyone wants additions made to the drafts list feel free to either post it here or if you want it done more discretely PM me and it will be added before the draft starts. Additions will not be made after the drafts start.

He should in fact be fitter than he was during his playing days. The amount of training put in during his short stint as a professional boxer ought to have done him a world of good physically.

Actually meant in terms of playing ability there, but I guess what you say is possibly logical. Can't remember what Flintoffs problem always was, was it his back?

Back or kness, or both. I don't quite remember. But his pace was right up there in the few NatWest T20 Blast matches that he played from what I've seen or read. Although his batting which was hit or miss through most part of his career can't be expected to have improved since his return.

As soon as someone picks up Birmingham Bears we can start the draft :).

Quick question, would everyone prefer for each draft round to go through the teams in a specific order of choosing or each round just first come first serve (a lot quicker as you don't have to wait for each other each round)?
