I never said anything bout limiting bouncers;). I only said to limit the number of fielders on a particular side in the outfield:spy. If that is clear then can we have you in fair players colin:p??

You edited the post; it said no bodyline before which suggests bouncers to me.
I've not found yorkers to be a problem either; the computer bowls them then whole time and I can usually put them away for 6.

Aha, excellent. I've never even played angry pixel and I'm down as an unfair player. :banana2

I think it's harsh to brand the_gas as a non-creed player at this stage. Yes, he invented wideline but has only used it once afaik, and has given his reasons for doing so and suggested he won't use it in future in the PC multiplayer thread.

Edit: great minds think alike clearly. :D

Precisely.

And it doesn't really limit scoring regions. I keep bowling yorkers, and if I start getting hit, I'll change my tactics. New regions to score in are open.

I also don't see what is wrong with the wide-line tactic. It's used in ODIs all the time!! 7-2 offside filed, bowl wide of offstump. They use it, why can't we?

I questioned that but then discovered that you voted no on the poll.
I think the concept of this thread is laudable but I don't like the details or the way it's going.

Thanks, at last someone here with sense.

This is what i have been trying to explain to Earl.

Also, what people do not realise is, if you bowl really wide, the cursor changes to dark green. Dark green = a huge perfect section on the timing meter. This means as long as you don't hit it straight to a fielder on the boundary rope, it will go for four. It also makes sixes possible to hit off of good timing.

Either way, I won't bowl non-stop yorkers. I find it boring to bowl and boring to play against. :)

Meh. I'd keep bowling yorkers if I found out it keeps getting me wickets. Maybe stop once I have 5/6 to give them a shot, but I won't rule it out completely. Same with the wideline. If they can't hit it, well that's good for me.

Fair enough, but I find it boring. If anyone keeps bowling yorkers, I won't play them again; I'm here to have fun and playing yorkers all the time is boring.

Master scoring off yorkers is very easy, believe me. Sure it works, but to do it everyone time just won't work against any competent player. I've hit many yorkers for six. ;)

In the bowling challenge where you have to score 48 off 6 overs the spinners are bowling nothing but yorkers and I soon worked out how to hit nearly every ball for 6.

That reminds me, i must finish the bowling challenges.

Did you manage to do it only hitting sixes in the end Colin?

Nah, I kept getting out to the slower ball so I blasted 30 off the first over then just played ground strokes and blocks.

My only concern is the use of 'fair' and 'unfair'

By not siging up to the original poster's 'rules' you are deemed to be 'unfair'.
Not sure in this particular case that is justified

I think the basic rule of 'No quitting' should stay, that's fair enough. The other two rules don't make too much sense.
