Quetta after winning the toss and batting first didn't had the best of their start as they lost their 1st wicket in the 3rd over. Mohammad Hafeez accelerated the score before he lost his wicket in the 10th over when the score was 92. Quinton de Kock and Faf du Plessis build a 50 runs partnership before de Kock found his bat no where of Yasir Shah's ball. du Plessis was still at the crease but he needed someone to stick with him till the end. Usman Khan was given the responsibility to bowl at the death when Ben Stokes went for plenty. He bowled brilliantly and also picked up 3 crucial wickets at the death. du Plessis was 40* at the end of 20 overs. Lahore will have the momentun after this brilliant death bowling...

Lahore Qalandars were slow in the powerplay scoring 30 odd runs and losing wicket of Rohit Sharma. AB de Villiers came in at no.3 to build a partnership with Tamim Iqbal. They scored 50 runs together in the partnership in 9-10 overs. 12+ was the run rate at the end of 8 overs, plenty was needed but de Villiers and Iqbal were all set to launch the fireworks. When they started it, Quetta Gladiators bowlers couldn't even stop one of them. As they together won the match for Lahore with 5 balls to spare. Their partnership was worth 150+.
