Flickering monitor

Hey NASA called... They want their lappy back :p

I use a Packard Bell Viseo 230ws. Very very good in my opinion. VGA and DVI input. Got mine ?120 from Currys.

Remember, refresh time and contrast ratio and don't buy anything that only does 720 HD.

My sexy gaming laptop is usually hooked up to my lovely 32" Full HD LG Tv along with my Ps3. I have a 19" monitor somewhere, but I never use it anymore. I'll be honest, sitting at my desk, it's sometimes a bit big, yet sat on my bed and with it angled towards that, it's too small :p

Yep, they're the first things I check. :) I don't really think I can go bigger than 24in - even that might be a bit big to be sitting up to. Maybe 22in would be a good compromise.

The stand supports up to 14kg by the way - so there's plenty of leeway.

Yep, I just checked out a review - looks very nice mate. What are the blacks like and do you use it a lot for gaming? If possible, I'd like deeper blacks than I get now.

One other thing - I have a ton of wallpapers in 1440x900 - should they scale to the new resolution without too much degradation in picture quality?

The blacks are pretty crisp and dark. I don't use it for gaming particularly (visual intensive gaming anywho) only really Football Manager. That said I do have Shogun 2 Total War and it does look very nice on it.

The only minor quibble I could see anyone having with it is the fact that the buttons to increase sound, adjust scree... are hidden underneath the front of the display so aren't the easiest to use. That said its hardly an inconvenience in the slightest.

I'm used to that, I have the same layout on my current monitor.
