Vaughan To Coach Italy

The Federation for Cricket in Italy has announced that former England captain Michael Vaughan will coach the National Side in an attempt to boost the sport's popularity in a country that has hardly ever heard of the game of Cricket.

Italy are currently preparing for Division 3 of the World Cricket League, and one of the main players, Joe Scuderi, had the following to say,

It's great to see such a famous international cricket player coming to Italy to try and bring us up to the standard where we can beat some of the best teams in the world.

At the press conference, the head of the Italian Cricket Federation, Guiseppe di Maggio announced that Vaughan had agreed a 4-year deal with the Federation, and that he hoped that Vaughan could breathe new life into the team.

I know what you mean, but tbh there are not many stories that get completed! With the exception of your ICC World T20 story and about two others, almost all stories are never actually conclusively "completed."

Anyway, hope this goes well but also hope you continue your England story! i put quite a lot of work into that banner and signature!:laugh

yeah, the england story is my main focus, because it takes up more time, whereas this one is easier to do as it is all done on Cricket Coach, and i don't have to do much research work as in creating DB's for PCCS.

Vaughan Names Italy Squad

Michael Vaughan was at a press conference in Rome to announce his Italy squad for the upcoming World Cricket League Division 3.

Experienced players Joe Scuderi and the Northcote brothers are in, as well as a lot of newcomers. It came as no surprise that Joe Scuderi was named as Captain.

Hardly any Italian cricket players have much experience, however Vaughan and his coaching team have been travelling through Italy watching some of the domestic clubs play in the national league. A couple of players have had trials at English teams, however none have ever been awarded contracts apart from Scuderi, who is currently part of the Worcestershire team, but doesn't feature much.
