GIMP is the best of those -

But once again you are just copying and pasting copyrighted text from a website - you need to delve around and find the links, and I do appreciate the thought but you need to post the links up and find them yourselves, otherwise there's no point of this thread, you should of just given us the link.

Ok i have found the links and added them up.Also notice that I removed the names of softwares which no longer exists.

BTW, I think the texts I copied are not copyrighted as the site just provides the links to free softwares and stuffs. Even the site copies some words from the original software sites.

Anyway, I have put them in quotes.

:p

The Gimp is by far the best of those. A friend of mine had also made an image editor called Propainter in VB 6. He had really explored the limits of that language, since it felt better to work on propainter than photoshop for most routine tasks. I lost my copy of it a long time ago (computer formatting) and dunno if it is available anywhere on the web. If it is available however, I would strongly recommend anybody to give it a whirl.
