yo what the happy thoughts?! i was playing the game..and i had 8 runs remaining to win the knockout. but guess what..i couldnt resume the game. i could hear that "whooosh" sound but the menu froze. i could hear the crowd sound..but i couldnt get back to the game . i also reloaded the game..didnt help. did anything like this happened to any of the people?
btw..my computer configuration is more than enough to run this game..so no problem there. help on how to fix that freezing thing.

ive had this happen to me too. i believe its because of cricket 2004 being open for too long and the video card/memory just quits. not sure, andrew is a computer whiz he probably knows

Yah...This is a pretty common bug, I think most people have had an encounter with this. Sorry to say but I don't think there's a solution.

P.S. Just incase you're wondering, EA hasn't released any kind of a patch for this game.

OK this is what you do:

? Download SavTweak
? Open up the Save Game wit SavTweak
? Change Team, so your bowling
? Change the bowler to a bowler that hasn't bowled his full 10 overs
? Change teams again, so you batting
? Load the Game wit Cricket 2004, and it'll work

I stand corrected.

well the intro of the game made me think and feel good about the game....but as soon as you play it....the bugs ruin every thought and makes you wish for a patch and blame EA for not testing it well.....

but its not EA's fault they had to release the game in december or else they would have to change the title......well imo they had a prob with directx for the pc ( thats old news i know) so they just concentrated on the pc version and by the time they got it running...they released it....

so lets hope for the patch....

About the freeze thing.
I use the folowing workaround:
Save the game regulary in 2 slots. I save the game every few overs in case it freezes.
When the game from one slot freezes, you can load the same saved game in the second slot and you can play on.
