game freezes help me please

ok here is my problem.

while playing the game, after playing some overs without incident, i play a shot, the ball goes into the outfield, a fielder chases it, now every fielder/player/crowd dissappears except the ball and the chasing fielder. frame rate drops to about 1 per sec and when the fielder picks up the ball, he disappears too. now the screen freezes, but i can still hear slow motion sound indicating that the ball has been thrown. the game is now either permanantly frozen or takes a long time to start again. what do i do to fix this ?

system:

p4 1.4 ghz
128 mb ram
32 mb nvidia tnt2 card
directx 9
video drivers: the ones that shipped with the comp. bcos the new detonator drivers (all numbers) make everything (overlays,and menus) very blurred.

ps. are there any low res pitch ground crowd textures available ?

I'd say it'd be a graphics card problem, as yours is absolute crap and also running on old drivers

Yeah I think youll have to get a new graphics card.

I have a tnt2 card but never had this problem, my advice it to try intalling the latest drivers (61.76 for win 98/me and 61.77 for win 2000/Xp)

If that does not help try configuring Cricket 2004 to use lowest resolution possible and disable shadows, and other stuff like video screens, Force LOD.

Also while using Cricket 2004 don't run any applications in the background.

i faced this problem and yep probably the problem lies with the graphics card as it hasn't occured with my new card...though it can still be minimised by removing all the applications running in the background except explorer...not even fraps...

Try installing the new drivers. If they do not work u can always roll back to old drivers.
