Future international players?

Australian batsmen seem to succeed more in county cricket, than what bowlers do. Dave Hussey is a good example. Scores heavily in county cricket, but can't secure his place in the Victorian team. Marcus North also seems to succeed more in county cricket. County form accounts for very little when it comes to being picked for Australia.

the one si highlighted have alreayd played international cricket (possibly a few others have aswell) i think brad haddin has but not certain, not sure about the 2 bangladeshi players

if bresnan is there Dalrymple HAS to be counted
Haddin has played 11 ODI's replacing an injured or resting Gilchrist.

Most of these guys have played a couple of ODI's, but I think it is still referring to regular ODI caps in the future, and being decent players

Alot of it has to do with the poorer bowling standards of county cricket bowlers. You might have 1 or 2 guys who have played international cricket, but the rest are pretty much useless.

He needs to back it up first over a longer period of time. Andy Bichel has scored quite a few centuries recently. Doesn't mean he is going to get picked for Australia and Bichel is a far better bowler. Calling me ignorant is hilarious, you do realise that being Australian and being an avid cricket fan that I am fully aware of his form playing for Victoria, for who he has played many more games for. His form has not been anything close to good enough to be picked for Australia. He needs to show far more improvement in my opinion to be laballed a future star.
How can he back it up over a longer period of time when he's only been playing for a few years? If you're such an 'avid' follower, how many of his innings have you seen this year? Or have you just seen a load of numbers and drawn a conclusion for that.

Australia's batsmen struggled during the Ashes, mainly because the Australian selectors are afraid to give young players a chance, instead returning to the old guard, no matter what form they're in, which is going to cost them in the future.

Cameron White has been playing cricket for 6 seasons now, I think that is a long enough time to show what he has to offer. In that time with the bat all he has done is produce 1 run of decent form in county cricket, which cricketmad has stated has poorer bowling standards. In these 6 seasons he has averaged just over 30 with the bat, how is that future Australian player? Might be good enough form to be picked for Zimbabwe.

Mark Cosgrove has played 4 seasons and averages 44 with the bat, now theres a future Australian player.

And on Ashes, why is it always the reason England won the Ashes is because of Australia's batting? It was clear that it was England's bowling and making the most out of the chances that won them the Ashes. Plus if Australia were to have picked other batsmen Hussey, Hodge and Jaques were deservedly well ahead of White.

Call me biased, but two Sussex players, Luke Wright, and Michael Yardy i think, can go on to play for England in the future. Theyve come on in leaps and bounds in the last two seasons or so.
Also, in his short tenure at Sussex, Yasir Arafat has done extremely well, and im sure Bob Woolmer will give him his chance in the future. He just better make sure, that if he takes Yasir, he gives us Rana back. And stay away from Mushie as well!
