Problem: Game Data Corrupted

Thanks to load shedding in our country my career game data got corrupted.
The game save icon was blinking while the electricity went out and now all i see in my save data utility is something like _UAL_201404.........etc

So basically one of my career files went bust and i think i have to start from scratch. I had my ps3 hooked up to a ups but it wasn't charged fully when it happened; so guys how do i avoid this next time?

I would highly recommend getting a UPS as there are some points in all games where the console shouldn't be turned off.

Charge your uninterruptible power supply: since that is what it is there for.

Well if anyone else has a problem like this, i found out its best to copy your recent career data file to another user account on the ps3.
