The full strength Swedish was also hammered 2-0 in the WC. I just got to see the highlights, but it was enough to realise the pace in the German team, absolutely brilliant!

No one can call the Germans 'boring' anymore.

Fernando Meira is still doubtful for the Bielefeld game on Sunday. He only did some light jogging during training. Andreas Beck is definately not playing, and Jon Dahl Tomasson I believe pulled out of the Denmark squad because of a knee strain.

This weekend's games:

Tonight:
N?rnberg vs M'gladbach

Saturday:
Energie Cottbus vs Hamburg
Aachen vs Schalke
Frankfurt vs Wolfsburg
Hertha Berlin vs Hannover
Werder Bremen vs Bayer Leverkusen
Dortmund - Mainz

Sunday:
Arminia vs Stuttgart
Bochum vs Bayern Munich

Werder vs Leverkusen is the pick of the lot. Stuttgart have a tricky game away to Bielefeld, after being thrashed 3-0 at home by Nurnberg last weekend. And we might be without our star striker, Jon Dahl Tomasson.:(
Although Fernando Meira is expected to play.

Results for today:

FC Energie (Cottbus)- HSV (Hamburg) > 2:2
Aachen - Schalke 04 > 0:1
Frankfurt - Wolfsburg > 0:0
Hertha BSC - Hannover > 4:0
Werder - Bayer 04 > 2:1
Dortmund - Mainz 05 > 1:1

Bremen continue with their good form beating Bayer Leverkusen 2-1 at home. Who other than Miro Klose equalised after Leverkusen were 1-0 up in the 1st half and then Hugo Almeida made it 2-1 for Bremen. Hamburg still having a tough time, good start for Mainz 05 in this season as they draw in Dortmund. Hertha BSC absolutely demolished Hannover at home.

Yup, Hertha were awesome. A brace from Pantelic, and a goal each from Dardai and Ebert. Basturk missed a penalty as well, else it would have been 5-0.

Final Results for Gameweek 2:

Bielefeld - Vfb Stuttgart > 2:3
Bochum - FC Bayern > 1:2

Bayern win away from home with the help of Makaay goal in thie 1st half. Bochum equalised in the second half but Bayern regained the lead with a good effort from Phillip Lahm and that sealed the victory.
Stuttgart register their first win of the season in an extraordinary match with lots of ups and downs. After being 2-0 up they alllowed Bielefeld to come back and it came to 2-2. In the end a brilliant wide range strike from Cacau ensured the victory for Stuttgart, who also had two players (Da Silva and Osario) sent off during the course of the match.

Thrilling game it was. Stuttgart conceded the lead twice which was a bit disappointing but Cacau's second goal which also was the winning goal was absolutely stunning!

Bayern are playing Barcelona at the Camp Nou today in a friendly match. This is going to be awesome, as it is going to really test the young Bayern players against the top class Barca squad.

Well we got hammered from Barca 4-0 and that clearly reflects the inexperiance of our young players. Felix Magath rested Makaay, Schweinsteiger, Lahm and Lucio, while Hargreaves was missing because of Flu. The second string Bayern side could not keep up with the passing, combinations and accuracy of the Barca attack and poor old Oli Kahn had to let in 4 goals against his name, which also doesnt happen that often.

Results for Gameweek 3 so far :

Schalke 04 - Werder > 2:0
M'gladbach - Arminia > 1:0
Bochum - FC Energie > 0:1
Hannover - Aachen > 0:3
FC Bayern - N?rnberg > 0:0
Bayer 04 - Wolfsburg > 1:1
Stuttgart - Dortmund > 1:3

A goalless draw in the Allianz Arena for us against N?rnberg. We missed so many clearcut chances and Makaay failed to score in an empty net. Another disaster for Stuttgart against Dortmund and Schalke 04 score a surprising victory against Bremen to make their objectives for this season clear.

Damn disappointed with the result. But we were very poor in the second half. Two home defeats then.

Particularly impressed by Serdar Tasci. He is a star for the future surely!
