Getting Wickets in Test matches

its so annoying i havnt got any wikets in the slips, the CPU just cooly plays a late cut and the ball goes to the boubdary through the stupid slip fielders!

I had this problem with this patch at first, basically you need a tighter line. There is much and i mean much more chance of getting a nick in a) the first 15-25 overs and b) before the batsmen gets any decent amount of confidence. Vary the amout of swing and sean u use to bowl. And also pace. For example i always use lots of swing and seam, then every few overs bowl on with hardly any, this draws the batsmen in to a play and miss, or a mistimed shot with can be caught in the outfield or nicked to the slips

What pitch type do you play on? Using Tutsi's ver 3.0 patch on hard level, I have got wickets by bowling mainly close to full length just outside off stump. Mix this with cutters, short balls and yorkers.

On hard pitches you will concede a lot of runs (partially due to the outfield speed but this should be cured in ver 3.1)

I agree with the late cut though. Very annoying - how often do you see that shot in a real test match with a slip cordon present?

Watch a Test match, England vs. Australia preferred then use the tactics and stuff you see in the game.
Give bouncers to the batsmen more often, the bouncer should be targeting the batsman's head in this case he will duck or he will play a hook shot, many batsmen are hook addicts and they will give you an edge. Make sure you have a fielder in leg slip.
For spinners, you can crowd as mentioned before, but I prefer you use the attack default field setup, then one that has 2 sillies.

i was playin a test in pakistan , i don remeber the pich settings it was the default settings, very hot, and pitch fry or normal probably.

the only wicket i cud get was a catch in the cover region. the ohter was run-out.

i do cary my pace and line lenght, really the most annoyin is the 4 hit through the slips, when there are upto 5 fielders there they dont catch the ball it goes for a 4!!
