Today's Venue, the Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar

WELCOME

Ramiz Raja: Welcome to the Arbab Niaz Stadium, here in Peshawar for a game, which is being expected to be an absolute thriller of a match. The Final of the hard fought, Haier Cup Pakistan. Both the teams have done extremely well to get this far after the start of their campaign in November. Four months have come and gone, and this is what all the teams wanted, the Haier Cup Trophy. At the end of tonight, one team will lift this trophy. It's time for the pitch report and Danny Morrison is going let You know about the turf of today's game.

PITCH REPORT
Danny Morrison: Hello and welcome to the Final of Haier Cup Pakistan, I'm going to be introducing You to todays pitch of this lovely venue, here in Peshawar. Let's get down, and have a look at the Pitch. The pitch is pretty green, there's some grass over the shorter part of the Pitch, the new ball is expected to swing as much as the old ball, in the last few overs. The sky above looks a bit overcast with all the clouds covering it up, hopefully they'll go till the evening and we won't be expecting any sort of rain at all. I'm looking forward to a great game of cricket today. Now it's time for me to bring You back to Rambo (Ramiz Raja) for the toss.

TOSS
Ramiz Raja: I have both the captains with me for the toss and the match officials, along with the fan of the day. It seems like Misbah-Ul-Haq will be spinning the coin and Younis Khan will be calling. Misbah spins the coin, Younis calls heads, and it lands heads! Younis, You have won the toss and You can hear the buzz of the home crowd supporting You and Your team. What would You prefer to do on this beautiful looking deck (for bowlers)?
Younis Khan: Seems like we'll be batting first, because if we score 270 or something above then we can easily restrict them. But, if we bowl first and concede something like 270+ than, it'll be really though for us to get there, and they can, they easily can get to 270, even on this sort of a pitch because of game changers and match winners, like Kohli, de Villiers, Watson and Misbah.
Ramiz Raja: Misbah, You'll be bowling first. Would You elect to bat first on this type of a pitch, if You had won the toss?
Misbah-Ul-Haq: No, not really. I'm happy to bowl first because we know that we can chase almost anything. Hoping for a great game and, may the best team win!

Ramiz Raja: So, the news from the center is that....
KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA PANTHERS HAVE WON THE TOSS AND THEY HAVE ELECTED TO BAT FIRST

End of the Innings! Finally, the Panthers pull back some runs at the end of their innings without losing wickets. 240 seems like a very compatible total, specially because of the pitch and overhead conditions, and some extra pressure of the final

Welcome to the closing ceremony of Haier Cup Pakistan, Season two!

Build-Up

This was a really good league for developing cricket, and also bringing some back in Pakistan - Ramiz Raja
It's overwhelming to see Pakistani and Indians playing cricket together, despite the political relationship of both the nations - Imran Khan
I felt bad that we couldn't defend our title, but Misbah and his team completely deserved this. Misbah has been a part of this league, for two seasons, and both the times He ended up being the winning captain, hats off to him! - Younus Khan
Rest of Pakistan Rams were the most dominant team of this season, and possibly the strongest team. I had wished for a more competitive final. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Panthers ended up on the top spot in the standings, they looked rock solid, but they gave their worst performance for the final. It's a big shame... - Brian Lara
Pakistan needs more leagues of this type to revive itself - Waqar Younis
This was a great league, but Gilgit Baltistan Jaguars were the greatest disappointment of all! - Harsha Bhogle
