Actually scratch that. Seeing the overseas picks, I guess rather not. :p
We actually picked him as our backup specialist spinner so in case Qadir and Gohar aren't getting the job done, we can bring Rashid in.

But that would require a bold decision to drop an overseas star. We'll probably make changes based on form and conditions for that matter.

May be benching stokes for Rashid on your home turf might not be a bad idea

Yes, maybe.

And if we are in a very desperate situation, Haider Ali can always open with Azam Khan coming in at #4 replacing KL Rahul in the XI, and Adil Rashid becoming the 4th overseas player.

The thing I really like about our squad is the versatility of players. We easily have a couple of plans for every player and his possible replacement.

I guess Samit Patel wasn’t available, otherwise it would’ve been their first pick :lol
Unfortunately, he was busy in his grandfather's backyard fitness contest so couldn't be available.

We were ready to shell out a few billions on him.

Yeah, let everyone know what your plans are before the tournament even begins.

classic lahore qalandars. :/
Yes, because we want to give the opposition sides a chance to compete against us. Don't want to absolutely annihilate them, so that they refuse to play us in the next iteration. *Modern problems require modern solutions*

Look at this line-up. Some real quality names with List A and Internation averages in the excess of 50 on a batting track - got a decent bolwing attack aswell.

1. David Warner
2. Quinton De Kock (Wk)
3. Joe Root :c:
4. Fawad Alam :bwl:
5. Umar Akmal
6. Danish Aziz :bwl:
7. Qasim Akram
8. Hasan Ali :bwl:
9. Josh Hazlewood :bwl:
10. Mohammad Hasnain :bwl:
11. Zahid Mahmood :bwl:

Easily the best top order so far. On good days they will tear apart any bowling contingent. But what about the days when top order fails?
