hidden files/folders ?

hello there !

my computer is not showing the hidden files & folders. I clicked on the tool tab & then folder options. When the new window was opened I clicked on the view tab & then clicked on the 'show hidden files & folders' & then clicked on apply & then ok. After doing these steps still i wasnot able to see the hidden files/folders.



kindly tell me what could be the problem & how can i rectify it. I have windows Xp.

It's A Virus, Search it on the google with the caption, it happened to me many times..

Edit: Also, Can you access the Task Manager?..?..

yes i can access the task manager.
what should i write for searching in google ?

Try running a virus scan with your AV software

i searched for virus in my pc with Av software but there wasnt any virus found......plz help......

If you don't mind then you can post the snap of task manager processes it will help in detecting the virus.
To capture a picture just press the "Print Screen" button and then paste it in the MS Paint or any other picture editor.

Try this

Go to registry editor by running regedit in the run box.
Go to this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\
Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced


In the right hand area, double click hidden and change the value to 1

Scan System32 Folder in X:\Windows, this has Effected me many times..

And do the thing what OJ(KK) Said......
