If you have the homebrew channel installed with backup launcher you should be able to play the game. You should be able to go to homebrew channel, insert the game cd and launch backup loader. I am assuming you have appropriate version of CIOS installer installed as well. Basically CIOS installer will dongrade your wii version to 3.2 as that's the version compatible with backup loader. Google the net and you will be able to find loads of info on CIOS installer and how to install it on wii via SD card.

The only other thing you need to do is to copy Ashes cricket profile from the net. Do a search and you will find it. Copy it on the SD card and use it when you launch the game. For some reason you can't create a profile when you are playing the game using backup loader. As a result you have to get an existing profile from the net which the game should be able to recognize. Simply modify the profile to store/save your settings and you are done! Again you can find detailed info on the net.

Yes they can on wii. I know for sure people have done it many times. I need to know which program is used on the homebrew channel to run a pal game.

I'm pretty sure if your Wii is modded it will work...no matter what region it is.

it's not modded just the homebrew channel is installed. I know there is an application that allows you to play it but i don't know which one.

I tried but it said the disc cannot be read. I forced PAL 50 and PAL 60 though. None work. Does anyone know of a homebrew program that will allow it to work.

I see, well if anyone gets it to work, can they post a quick list of instructions?

I have no idea how to do any of this....

I suspect you have to install the latest version of CIOS installer. There's a forum for Homebrew and CIOS installer app and I believe there's also a youtube video that walks you through Wii softmod process.

I am afraid you will need to mod XBOX 360 to play the game, or maybe there's a softmode available for 360. Other option is to get PS3 as PS3 games are region free.

Great news guys! With alot of hard work i got it working!
So ANYBODY with a soft modded wii (homebrew channel installed) can play this game!
What I did.

1) Turn on regionfrii.
2) Patch the ISO to NTSC
3) Go to YouTube - wii error #002 fix and download the files
4) install the wad manager (which i think you should already have if you have the homebrew channel)
5) Install the wad app.
6) On your wii menu there should be a new square to go on. It will have a picture of god of war.
7) Run that app, go to configuration. Make FORCE NTSC to yes and also an option that would be something like i think vidpick (you'll know what i mean when you check), change that to yes too.

Just leave a comment if you need anymore help.

Actually, I am quite sure that there is no mod available that changes the region.

official ntsc version is comig soon- maybe couple of months

I am positive you can circumvent region encoding piece by modding XBox 360. Google on the net if you want
