How do you duck under a bouncer?

I play on PC with classic controls but I changed L3 as the leave to the A button and whenever I press A to a short ball the batsman just shoulders arms and either cops it to the head/body or periscopes it to the slips. Is there another button combination to get under a short ball or does it not exist?

I play with R3 for leave and I think it works with L stick to 3 o'clock and R3
