So how do you do this, the first post doesnt make sense...

First determine your best XI. In past we've been working on one-day teams, obviously, but most seem to use five bowlers anyway, so it might not be any issue.

Each skill level equals a number, where worthless = 1. So for a comp/resp/resp batsman, he gives 6 stamina, 7 batting and 7 concentration.

For stamina and fielding, get the total for your whole XI. For bowling/consistency, you only measure your bowlers. For batting/concentration, take who you consider your recognised batsmen, be it 6 or 8.

Average points is just the first number divided by the second and average skill converts the numerical rating back into a skill level (where worthless = 1).

Haishen, Gomez, Wilkerson, Stearman, Bonner, Mavuso, Brookes, Floors, Carey, Camebridge, Elvins

Stamina (First XI) = 56/11 = Competent - Not bad for a new team.
Batting (1-7) = 36/7 = Mediocre - Not suprised, pretty decent.
Concentration (1-7) = 35/7 = Medicore - Not bad. Guess it is because of my 3 high concentration players, Brookes, Stearman and Haishen.
Bowling (5 bowlers) = 30/5 - Competent - Nice.
Consistency (5 bowlers) = 23/5 = Mid-Mediocre - Will do.
Fielding (10 fielders + 1 keeper) = 37/11 - Mid-Woeful - Can't say I'm too impressed. Should increase over time though.

Hope to have much higher ratings by next season, maybe a Resp in there somewhere.
