I was initially apposed to T20 Cricket, But now I have seen the greatness that it can provide.
It is a common problem that we have too much cricket. and i think getting rid of ODIs is the way to reduce this. T20 cricket is definitely better than ODI cricket. ODI cricket has turned into a one day test match.
It is more tactical than ODIs and there isn't a huge advantage batting first, maybe even a disadvantage. You get much closer contests and there is more tactics involved. There is also more big hits.
I agree Test match cricket is the pinnacle, but when you go to the limited overs format there should be a huge difference not a small difference.
I can't see what everyones problem is with T20, they just say they hate it and dont give a reason.
I did a little bit of research and the amount of 50's scored per match in T20 is only a little smaller than ODIs, and getting a 100 is a much bigger accomplishment.
In ODIs the big scores stop after number 5. in t20 its number 4, so not a huge difference. Your top 4 should do all the work in limited overs formats. Also both formats have a big hitter at the end at about 6-7. So really if you stop to think about there isn't a lot different between the 2 formats except one is more exciting than the other. Plus T20 cricket lends itself to a huge amount of innovations. I think there should be cricket (test matches) than Twenty20 a completely different sport.
