Raina is awesome. Second highest run scorer in the IPL (3 seasons combined) and has been doing quite well in ODIs recently.

There's no doubt he is a brilliant player and that he's having and had brillant IPL's, it's just that he failed when it came to the real thing (T20 World Cup in England) and a lot of hs weaknesses were exposed. I just hope he doesn't do that again.

Then again Raina was ripping it up in the last IPL and failed in the T20 World Cup in England, it's confusing. I wouldn't mnd and injury or two at the moment though. :)s

Ha ha, you're just me, Leggie! I too wouldnt mind an injury or two at the moment in the selected Indian lineup. The backups that we have who can replace the selected are S Tiwary, M Vijay, Manish Pandey, Virat Kohli, Ambati Rayudu who all will actually boost up the team even more than any of the guys who are currently selected.

Australia avoiding Guyana? haa

I was just checking throught the schedule for this tournament while at the same time checking back some scorecards for the 2008 AUS tour to the windies & it hit me. That Australia haven't been to Guyana since 2003 (that test match when Chanderpaul scored that 60odd ball century).

Since that 03 tour AUS have toured the windies for the 07 WC & 08 test & ODI tour & now this 2010 T20 WC. Noticeablly they have been all over the caribbean but not Guyana. :laugh

Probably not a big deal. But i wonderful what a Guyana local would feel by being deprived of seeing the best team in the world for so long.

Everybody wants to avoid Guyana. The wickets there are really low and slow.

Getting close to the WC and I just thought we should re-live what went wrong for us.

1- Both Watson and Warner were in a poor run of form, now they are on fire.
2- We were missing a death overs hitter, but now we have White.
3- Dougie and/or Harris must play. Playing Lee & Tait together spells disaster one way or another, especially considering their form in the IPL
4- New captain, new luck?

Anyways, really hope we don't get beaten so easily again. :facepalm

Yea Lee has been a problem in the IPL indeed. I have been watching the IPL in recent weeks just to gauage in form & i have noticed he has yet to touch 150 MPH in any game so far.

I'm still backing him to regain his mojo soon, since i see his struggles in the IPL mainly due to lack of cricket. But yea its coming to a point where his form going into the WC is a worry.

As long as Nannes and Johnson are on song then we can afford the hit and miss nature of Tait. Plus we do have other bowlers to take his overs if needed.

Bollinger would be really good for Australia in the T20 WC and he should play. His pace and bounce is just so good. Playing for CSK, I am starting to become his fan.

I devised a plan.

If we are playing IND, SL, WI: Bollinger, Harris, Lee/McKay, Smith
If we are playing NZ: Harris, Lee, McKay, Smith
If we are playing PAK: Lee, Tait, Bollinger, Hauritz
If we are playing ENG, SA: Lee, Harris, Bollinger, Hauritz

I don't think Lee should go straight into Australia's T20 bowling attack either to be honest. Yes, he is a good T20 bowler, but he hasn't shown much form at all in the IPL and it's not as if Australia have a shortage of pacemen.

Dude you can't just make silly statements like that based on a single performance.

Single performance? Lee's played four IPL matches so far this season. Take a look at his figures, he hasn't been in very good form.
