Please feel free to comment!?

Batsmen

-There should be a few different entrances onto the pitch by different batsman, they should take guard(maybe you can choose middle, off leg etc yourself)

-Non strikers should be as animated as possible(but LM did mention he was working on these)

-In between overs should be lots of communication(punch of gloves etc)

-Batsman must celebrate 50* , 100* (especially maiden 100, commentary as well!) , 150* (no cricket game does this??) , 200* etc

-They should respond to bad decisions (certain players are prone to worse behaviour as we have seen!)

-Match winning shots, and how they react (if it?s a close game, more emotion!!)

Bowlers

-Should show frustration as much as possible (there is nothing like emotion on a fast bowlers face in the heat of a test match!!)

-React to close calls (edges, LBW etc)

-More celebrations when taking wickets (no one acts exactly the same way for every wicket)

-Appeals (if it is more convincing, it should be more emotional, unconvincing and stifled appeals shouldn?t be given out easily!)

p.s please implement something that?ll get more knicks in games, this doesn?t happen often enough!!

Most of ur ideas are going to be used. However in future use the suggestions forum thats stickied.

Already being done I think

-Non strikers should be as animated as possible(but LM did mention he was working on these)

-In between overs should be lots of communication(punch of gloves etc)

And after a boundary when the batsman meet in the middle of the wicket.

-Batsman must celebrate 50* , 100* (especially maiden 100, commentary as well!) , 150* (no cricket game does this??) , 200* etc

I've written actually a TON of commentary lines for milestones...check it out, its an attachement in the commentary thread, about 100kb. Go to find and search for milestones.

-They should respond to bad decisions (certain players are prone to worse behaviour as we have seen!)

I'd love to hear a smash of a window when Hayden gets out to a bad decision:p

-Match winning shots, and how they react (if it?s a close game, more emotion!!)

Definately, great suggestion

Bowlers

-Should show frustration as much as possible (there is nothing like emotion on a fast bowlers face in the heat of a test match!!).

Another great suggestion

-React to close calls (edges, LBW etc)

-More celebrations when taking wickets (no one acts exactly the same way for every wicket).

Very true

-Appeals (if it is more convincing, it should be more emotional, unconvincing and stifled appeals shouldn?t be given out easily!).

Maybe a lesser appeal if its not so close...I dont think randomly varying appeals are possible to be implemented correctly.

Great ideas dude, that huge list reminds me of me in a way

Winning a trophy/test series against a higher or powerful opponent should spark off wild celebrations by the team. Winning an event like the World Cup/Champions Trophy should have things like doing a victory lap with the national flag by the whole team, etc.

This can be a useful suggestion too! Coz I have always enjoyed the celebrations by the Indian cricket team even more than their cricket! So celebrations should be a big part of any cricket simulation game!

And West Indies, I felt so good for them when they won the ICC Trophy.

and I don't know how many are practical. We all skip batsmen entering, in b/w over animations, bowler switching animations, and so on.

Why conc on it then?

Well, if you choose guards then you couldnt skip it...AND people do watch them a bit b4 skipping...this just means that we should have less time of animations...which IMO is a good idea

all these animations have been very unrealistic and slow, I also think they should be short and sweet, but we are tyring to create the no. 1 cricket simulation...

There is nothing like seeing aggression if it looks good enough.

I think the idea of post match celebrations is also an excellent idea!!! :)

The Run-Jump and Punching-the-air-with-the-bat, (but not letting go :p), is a typical century celebration.

Has this already been implied into the game?

celebrations etc will be under development shortly
so please post your ideas soon ! :)

I reckon that we should find different pictures and videos on how people celebrate eg Brett Lee jumps in air and then post them here so that they can be assigned to players and even if you create a player you can choose your own out of all of them

Hmmm, why are all the TCP staff/contributors seemingly talking about things that are of secondary or tertiary importance? I would be obliged if someone could give some details on the bowling and batting models, editing features and game modes, which I think are rather more important than the development team wasting undue amounts of time on things like celebrations and batting stance etc.
