Haha thanks but I wouldn't really class it as terrific writing. More like some fairly funny dross. But thanks anyway. There wasn't an update last night as I didn't have time because of cricket training. I'll get one done tonight.
Here I was. The Big Apple. Well more like the mouldy, dustbin apple. But the point is I was in a new city. A new life. Well it's the same life, I'm still me, but the point is I'm living somewhere else. I didn't have much money so I had to rent a place out for a while. And just as my luck goes I managed to rent a house out with 2 of the weirdest people I've ever met.
Before I start talking about them I'll take you back to the day I met them. I was checking out some places and I came to this house. It was painted yellow with a red door. It was like a house from a fairy tale. All it needed was animals doing chores and it was perfect. I couldn't wait to go inside and take a look. In hindsight that was a bad move.
"It's beautiful!"
I knocked on the door and a few moments later the door opened. Nobody was there. I was slightly confused and looked forward then "ARGHHHHHHHHHH!" This guy jumped out from the corner and scared the crap out of me! He started laughing to himself before calling over his mate.
After I gathered my breath and cooled myself I said "What the fearsome tweak!? Why did you do that!?"
"That was your initiation test" said the one who scared me. He was wearing plain jeans and a red t-shirt. It would be easy to miss him out in a crowd based on the way he looked. But he was intriguingly strange. The house was so good that I couldn't just leave and I wanted to know more about these guys.
The other one was analysing me. His staring was making me slightly uncomfortable. I broke the awkward tension by introducing myself. "Hi, my name's Mani. I'm here to check out the house."
"Weeeellll howdy partner! Come and mosy down here and give us a big ol' kiss."
"Urm...no thanks."
"Haha he's just pulling your leg. My name's James and he's Andy. Come in and have a look around."
I had a look around and it was perfect. It was comfortable, spacious and looked great. The only thing left was the price and even that was cheap. There was no reason for me not to take it, other than my two flatmates being loonies.
"Are you gunna take it then? Because if you're not, get the fearsome tweak off ma property! Hehe only kidding. But seriously are you going to take it?"
In the heat of the moment I went with the flow. "I'll take it!"
"Excellent. Now let's go down to the pub to celebrate."
Sorry for the lack of updates guys. I was at a wedding over the weekend and got back in the afternoon yesterday.
"Owwww..." My eyes slowly opened as I began to wake. Although they were open, I still couldn't see anything. I tried to get up and have a look around. As I got up my back cried in pain. It was as if I'd been sleeping on concrete. My head was pounding and I felt physically sick. I looked around to see where I was. My eyes squinted and observed the room. It looked like a herd of elephants had just trampled through it!
"What the hell?"
Confused, I got up from the hard surface I was sleeping on. Once I inspected it, I realised it was the floor. There was a puddle next to where I was sleeping of liquids that I didn't want to know about. I still had no idea where I was. I just assumed that I was in my new place and I couldn't recognize it.
I looked around for someone - hopefully James and Andy. I walked into the next room where I found James knocked out on the floor wearing a blue mankini. Before I even had time to think about what I just saw, I heard pounding footsteps that were coming closer.
I panicked and hid behind a table in the room. I don't know why I did that - they still would've been able to see me. Before I could move and hide somewhere else, they rushed into the room. It was Andy...wearing a red mankini...as if it was perfectly normal.
"Mankini bros!"
"What the hell is going on?" Instead of answering my question, Andy slapped James across the face and grabbed him up.
"Hurry up! Let's go!"
"What? Why?" I said, even more confused than before.
"What do you mean why!? This isn't even our house!" he shouted.
So I ran out of a completely trashed house that wasn't even mine with my two new housemates who were wearing mankinis - no doubt an eventful start to my new life here.
