I'm struggling with my course tbh. Requires a lot more work than what I was accustomed to put in during my undergrad. But with time it should be fine.

Yeah it probably is. In terms of the difficulty of pure math, theoretical physics comes close too. And of course you've the additional task of making sense of all the math, and not letting it be just abstract hand-waving. Because it's all a description of the real world.

Also, they are one of the toughest solely based of the amount of math and/or intuition needed. Other courses may be difficult based on other criteria. For example, aviation.
