Story India goes to England for real test

A very good start in the series for India. Despite loosing Gambhir very early in the inning, india got to a very good total of 394/7 thanks to a brilliant century from Virender Sehwag. Almost everyone contributed with the bat except Sachin Tendulkar and Gambhir. It was good to see Indian batsmen hitting some form at the start. Harbhajan failed to impress with the bowl. Good effort from batsmen and now bowlers need to continue the good work. It will be interesting to see the pair of Pathan, Zaheer and RPSingh.

India had a good bowling session in which they dismissed Surrey for only 241 getting a lead of 153 runs. Zaheer bowled well taking 3 wickets while Pathan also got some form going. India also tried Laxman with the ball which was interesting as Laxman got 17 overs while Kumble manged to get only 3. But overall satisfying effort from indian bowlers.

Glad u didnt add Harbajan (spelling) Singh to india for the match as he is obviously showing some loyalty to surrey.

This way both Harbhajan and Kumble got match practise which was overall good for India.

I dont think win matters here. Indian players just need to get some form going before big series.
