Squad for the 3 test matches for India is announced

Today BCCI announced the 15-man squad for the 3 test series.

Looks to be a good squad suprised to see Partiv patel in the squad...

Before India goes to Sri Lanka a practise ODI game will take place with Border.India will go with the test squad!The match will be a T20 match!Suresh Raina will play in the place of V.V.S Laxman for this practise match

RS-This the toss for the T20 practise match between India and Border.M.S.Dhoni has the coin.
M.Smith calls heads and it is head.

RS-M.Smith you won the toss.What do you select?

MS-We select to bat first.

RS-Why?

MS-We select to bat first because its a dusty dry pitch which will start to crack of as the game goes on.We will post a high total and put India on pressure by bowling with the spin bowlers.

RS-Thank you.M.S you lost the toss.If you won it what would select.

MSD-I would also have selected to bat first.Its the same reason.We have to spinners in our side I hope we can win this one.This will be a good practise game before our SL tour starts.Thank you.

RS-The news from the middle is that M.Smith has won the toss and selected to bat first.

Z.Khan to open the bowling for India.

C.Sugden on strike.He takes a quick single of the first delivery.M.Bruyns on strike Z.Khan gives a no-ball adding one more run to the total.Zaheer Khan gave no run in the next few delivery but gave a single on the second last ball.

I.Shant Sharma will start from the other end with

Zaheer Khan.Ishant Sharma bowls aiming the leg-stump the batsman completly misjudge the delivery and was bowled out.M.Bruyns.He goes for just 1.

Next ball Ishant gives a wide adding 1 more run.After the wide Ishant gave no run.

I was initially confused between MS and MSD On batting pitches, bowling is always going to be tough.. That was an interesting decision after the toss.

One more run added.Zaheer tries to ball from around the wicket and gives another wide.

Ishant Sharm going to bowl his second over.He gives some good ball but the batsman wasn't successful to hit it.Ishant gives a maiden over.

Zaheer Khan continues. His 3rd Over.Starts of with a wide again.

Ravi Shastri-There has been few wides so far in this match.

Zaheer gives a bouncer and the Sugden plays the shot of his hip for a single.

5th Over-10th Over

Zaheer Khan and Ishant continued on the attack as Sudgen and Henderson tried their best to raise the run rate. Sudgen tried to go for some aggresive shots and could only hit one boundary.Henderson also helped him by hitting few boundaries.Ishant was replaced by Raina who gave few runs in his over

10th Over-15th Over


Harbhajan was bought into the attack replacing Zaheer Khan

.Bhaji took Sudgen in that over for 20. Sudgen place was taken by Gamiet. Bhaji was little expensive that over giving 6 runs. Amit Mishra was bought into the attack and this bowler continued the attack.Bhaji took the wicket of Gamiet.

16th Over-20th Over

Ishant was bought back into the attack who took the wicket of Henderson who looked like he was settled.He went for a well fought 29.
Bhaji and Mishra was bought back into the attack.Captain M.Smith and M.Boucher
was batting.They smashed some boundaries trying to raise the Run Rate

RS-Hello and welcome back to the second innings of this practise T20 match between India and Border.India need 146 runs from 20 overs.

Viru and Gauti comes to the crease

1st Over

Gambhir on strike.He goes for the aggresive shot in the first ball.The bowler gave a bouncer which Gambhir goes for a pull.The ball goes for a six.After some dots ball he takes a quick single in the last ball to keep strike in the last ball.

2nd Over

Gambhir on strike.Gambhir smashes a ball for four

. He goes for a shot over the top but couldnot connect it properly and was caught out by M.Ntini.Gambhir goes for 11.Sachin Tendulkar

is the new man in.He scores no run in that over.

3rd Over

Sehwag on strike.He trys to hit the ball for a straight drive but it edges and goes for a safe four.Next ball he goes for the huge one and Sehwag returns back to the pavillion for just 4.India in deep trouble after 15/2 in 2 overs.

4th Over-8th Over

Sachin was accompanied by Badrinath

. Both took single and rotated strike.Boundaries couldnot come.Only singles and doubles was taken.

After 8 Overs-32/2.

9th Over-13th Over

Sachin and Badrinath on strike.Sachin hits a ball for a boundary after 7 overs.Badrinath joined in by smashing two back to back six.Trying to raise the run-rate.Then smashed two fours.Sachin was out and Raina took his place.Raina just smashed a four was out.Captain M.S.Dhoni came to the middle and India was in trouble for 65/4 after 13 overs.

13th Over-20th Over

Badrinath and M.S.Dhoni was in the middle.M.S.Dhoni smashed 4 fours and took a double and then he was out for 18.Patel came to the field. He was out for 4.Badrinath tried his best by smashing some huge boundaries.But he was out for a well fighting 60.Bhaji,Khan and Mishra smashed two fours,one fours and two fours respectively.But the Indians lost the match.They were 135/9 after 20 overs.Loosing the match by just 9 runs.
