Auckland Aces won by 7 wickets (with 39 balls remaining)

Player of the match: Phillip Hughes (Auckland Aces)

another comfortable victory for us, unadkat and parnell bowled extremely well considering how unexperienced they are while shuvo and hossain picked up a few key wickets in the middle overs to make sure mumbai couldn't accelerate.

and the batting was very good. After the early wicket of watson, Ryder and Hughes set up a good partnership and made sure we won with ease.

I'm a bit tempted to randomly select the pitch conditions for each round. Managers who are the away team sometimes have to wait for ages for the home side to pick their pitch and this holds things up.

I feel that the away team's managers should never be made to know off the pitch type . Then where's the big home advantage involved ?? I will be implementing this rule from Season 5 of my league .

Good to see the two Pakistani batsmen play so well together. Their partnership was indeed the difference between the two sides. Rohit Sharma played reasonably well too. In the bowling department, the newly traded Brett Lee and the youngster Nelon Pascal were outstanding.

Lineup in next post.
