Manchester Eagles:
A superb batting display, nothing more to it. As soon as Ponting joined Gilchrist at the crease, you could see that the Australians were there to stay. Gilchrist's 78, and the first century of the season from Ricky Ponting, meant that a huge partnership of 207 from 202 balls. Eventually Gilchrist and Ponting fell, but the English partnership of Pietersen and Wright were looking like they too were going to build another big partnership, but the damage was done, and Manchester finished on 247/3 from their 40 Overs. A decent performance in the field from Manchester saw them keep runs to a minimum, and take wickets at regular intervals, meant that they restricted NY to 145/8 from 40 Overs.

New York Kings:
Absolutely blown away by Manchester's batting performance, they had absolutely nothing in reply as each and every one of their bowlers were smashed to all corners of the pitch by the Manchester batsmen of Gilchrist and Ponting. Eventually, they struck, and things started to look better, but the innings was almost over, and nothing more could be done. Things weren't much better with the bat, as Smith fell for a duck, and wickets were falling rather more quickly than they would like. Eventually their overs were up, and after being kept to a very low total, they will need to improve if they want to avoid finishing last.

However, i may be proved wrong, and Rawalpindi might pull off a win.

Rawalpindi Eagles:
A very low score on what looked like a good pitch to bat first on. Had it not been for Warner's 47 and Duminy's 35, Rawalpindi might not have made it past the hundred mark. However, thanks to those two, they have done, even if it was 147, Rawalpindi can be pleased by Warner and Duminy's performances with the bat. A similar story in the field, although this time there were no stand out performers. They gave away 17 extra's, which is never going to be good, as they pretty much gave away the game.

Sexy Indians:
A superb performance in the field after losing the toss, three wickets each for Van Der Merwe and Symonds, plus one for Zaheer Khan. Being tight in the field was key, and the Indians put this into practise superbly, restricting Rawalpindi to just over 3 runs each over. Also, there was a maiden for Zaheer Khan, one of only a handful so far in this tournament, as he is looking like one of the finest opening bowlers in this competition so far. With the bat, Jayasuriya and Tendulkar gave them the best possible start, almost winning the match themselves. However, Gayle and Ganguly both went for 12, and it was left to Andrew Symonds, who was voted Man of the match, and Sanath Jayasuriya to knock off the winning runs.
