Please move it to the correct forum if I opened it in the wrong one.

There was a time when I loved playing Ashes Cricket 2009 online. But since the beta patches have arrived, I am unable to do so.
Can't afford to un install the patches as the game gets very slow without them on Windows 7.

I know that this question has been asked various times, but still I hope that its possible.

Any chances?

Hmmm....
Someone somewhere told me that it is possible, but the efforts required won't be worth it.
I just want to know that is it possible, irrespective of the time and effort goes into it.

I just can't imagine that, although I am not technical minded. I understood that the dedicated server was closed down after Transmission went bust and that the beta patches could only be used on that server which had been customised specifically to test the patches online.

I tried for days to find the server info in Ashes 09 but couldnt find it, Yes if someone could make a server MOD but I dont think they could - to hard

Ashes should of had LAN we could of used VPN (Tunngle) to join & use the patches & the pirates wouldnt be able to play with the beta patches Its weird how codies keep the normal server up when only pirates mostly online there They didnt really support the game at all - lets hope they support not just making the next game but after its released is just as important

cheers
