Well Juve certainly silenced Roma's advances today, real unfortunate that they have been eliminated by the Champions league thus year in such flimsy manner.

That was a match to forget. :facepalm Roma looked the better side for the first 20 mins, but once Vidal scored, they just surrendered hopelessly. Gervinho comfortably the worst player on the pitch.

AVB's name came up a while back but there's not been much more.

it will be either tasotti being a caretaker until the end of the season, inzaghi either full time promotion or as caretaker or seedorf full time.

I'm worried by these, installing such an inexperienced manager suggests the berlusconi's want an easily bullied puppet. there's also an element that no one else would touch us with a barge pole so we need to give it to a manager that will just be happy to get a chance.

at least with allegri gone we have some chance at retaining the genuine quality in the youth ranks. Cristante was almost gone this january, finally got a chance and was one of our best players, niang's already off to montpellier and wouldn't have been coming back and SES is probably only still here because his injuries have made buyers wary.

Wanted Pippo Inzaghi personally. Interesting Milan instead went for a man with zero coaching experience, who apparently speaks 84 different languages.

I'm still no wiser why this has happened. remember how cantona used to go on about being man united manager and building some great team but never really bothered getting coaching badges or showing any interest in learning how to manage. this feels like that except we've said "ok then."

had he even been assistant manager somewhere that would at least give me some confidence but I have literally no idea what to expect from this appointment.

at least now it won't be infuriating to watch him sauntering around during a match like he did as a player.

on the other hand, if the reports are true that we're going to get Cortese to run stuff that would amazing. he's been brilliant at southampton.

I don't agree with that article entirely (making the generalisation about succesful milan managers sometimes not having much experience is worth about as much as pointing out the best ex-player managers tend to be defensive work horses, not flamboyant attacking players) and thought we still played quite badly despite one or two little touches. he looked cool at least.

Honda has been here 3 games and he's played under 3 managers.

I'm deeply disappointed in the transfers to italy. juventus buying Osvaldo and Milan bringing in taarabt are appalling moves. I think southampton have shot themselves in the foot though with the insane permanent buy clause, Juventus are never in a million years going to shell out 16m for him.

Milan might idiotically blow 7m on Taarabt, though my hope would be with the re-introduction of Niang and Saponara (providing they are only temporary loans) he'll be surplus to requirements.

Don't think either Osvaldo or Taarabat are poor players TBF, but probably not Juve/Milan standard.

Another strange Serie A transfers regards Napoli - selling Pablo Armero to West Ham was a bit shocking. Along with loaning out other good players such Walter Gargano & Eduardo Vargas.

Armero to West Ham definitely shocked me, but Gargano and Vargas are just piss poor. Simply not good enough. One of Uruguay's Achilles Heels heading to the World Cup, Gargano.

Regarding Milan, to put it quite simply, they're becoming a slightly better version of Roy Hodgson's Liverpool imo. Have sunk to an all time low for the decade. Thank heavens the deal to sign Biabiany collapsed, another terribly mediocre player!
