Key Frames - which one is which?

Hi,
I was wondering what the different key frames mean in the stroke files. From what i've heard is that some are for well timed shots and some aren't.

Could someone please tell which key frame corresponds to the quality of the shot, because if we know we could have a lot more edges in the game.
