Any old glory hunter who couldn't name their team's first 11 could buy a shirt. That doesn't make them any more of a fan than someone who doesn't. Your support isn't on your chest - it's inside it.

This is complete and utter balls. You don't have to buy every single shirt that comes out just because it's of your club. Shirts make nothing more of a fan than one without.

I still stand by my opinion strongly but I apologize nevertheless. Didn't realise some of you were so touchy.

What I said was more aimed at the fact that you refuse to buy the new Coventry shirt because it isn't very nice. That's just like one of the players saying "I hate this shirt, don't bother picking me for today's game gaffer!". As a fan I believe it is our duty to buy our club's shirt every season. Now i'm not saying buy every single shirt they release that season, just the home one.

Now if you don't agree with that then fine, but there's no need to rant and rave at me for voicing my opinion strongly. You've been no stranger to doing that yourself in the PES vs FIFA thread. So may I suggest we all just pack up and lay it all to rest? That better?

The thing is, you seem to think only your opinion matters and that you should be the centre of attention.
You can't go around saying that "Oh if you don't buy the shirt every season, you're not a true fan" and "Well, people who like Fifa just don't know what football is". That's massively stereotypical. Fifa fans do know what football is - more than some PES users in fact.
And a fan can be a fan no matter what he's wearing. Your point in saying that it's like a player telling the manager that he doesn't want to play.... crap! What do you want, little plaster people in the stand that do exactly as you think they should? Chant offensives at the opposition, sing throughout the whole match and all be wearing the latest home shirt?
