I want to buy a laptop, where i can run these applictaions very comfortably.


1.Photoshop
2.Corel draw
3.Illustrator
4.Adobe premiere/Final Cut Pro
5.Flash
6.3D Max
7.MAYA

Laptops are getting cheap these days. You could comfortably get a 4-gig of RAM, 64-bit processor laptop for under $600. But you're probably looking for a decent graphics setup.

Laptops are getting cheap these days. You could comfortably get a 4-gig of RAM, 64-bit processor laptop for under $600. But you're probably looking for a decent graphics setup.


Yes, 3d Max and MAYA needs a good GFX card too :(

I'm saying a 512mb Nvidia 8600GT and 2gb ram should do it. Graphics card 70-100 dollars, and the ram 30-50 dollars.

You might as well invest in a 64-bit processor so you can add on more than 4 gigs of RAM in the future.

Video processing would require a pretty serious set-up, though. The dedicated video editing machines at our university are Mac Pros with dual quad cores with about 16 gigs of RAM!
