hey every1,

just wondering if ne1 knows if you can get adjudged LBW if you are out of your crease.....

Yes, you can as long as it fits every other requirement of LBW. Obviously, the further down the pitch you are when it hits you, the more likely it is that the ball is going to bounce over the stumps so it is very unlikely that you'd be given out.

yay! finally someone replied....

i probably got mixed up between the non-likeliness of going out down the ground with the always not-out..

just wondering....when u watch cricket matches on tv...do they hav computer generated balls too see if the ball would actulaly hit the stumps?

ie: for australia, baggygreen cricket, they have HP computer design this computer aid thing showing the line of the ball, where it hits and a projected line of where the ball will go....

do u other countries hav this?

Yeah, it was invented here in England! Channel 4 first used it. It's called Hawkeye here and that's the name of the technology too. It's based on missile tracking technology :D

hawkeye...that's it.....almost 4got the name coz of the world cup coverage....


it'd been much betta if the world cup used this technology.....

more pressure for umpires B)
